Page 2 Keeping Kids Cyber Safe “Most of us parents are digital immigrants,” Detective Darin Odier explained. “We grew up without the Internet and are having to learn as we go. Our kids, however, are digital natives. They’ve never known anything else and it will always be a part of their lives.” Our best hope is to better prepare them for what they’ll find out there. -Written by Jim Cota, IBJ Detective Odier will speak to Nativity 5th – 8th graders during the day to enlighten them about being safe internet users. You are invited to attend an informative gathering on Tuesday, April 15th at 7:00 in the Fr. Gootee Conference Room. Indianapolis Police Detective Darin Odier will share his professional insights about keeping your child cyber safe.
