(Amazon offers a Kindle edition for $9.99.) John Calvin: His Life and Legacy Our denomination’s roots are in the Swiss Reformation. Although he did not reform the church in Geneva and wasn’t even Swiss, but French, John Calvin quickly became the leader of the movement and his influence is still felt in Presbyterian and Reformed Churches around the globe as well as in secular areas such as education and social concerns. Calvin’s view of God’s sovereignty, the role of sin in human life, and the purpose of those called by the Almighty to serve for the glory of God are still major thoughts within our theology today. On Wednesday, January 7, our pastor started a five week study on Calvin’s legacy. Won’t you join us as we look at this influential theologian and how his influence is still being felt in our world?
