PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT MEETING
A BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING IS A MEETING HELD IN PUBLIC NOT A PUBLIC MEETING –
COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE ARE LIMITED TO THE BEGINNING OF THE MEETING WITH THE
FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
At the start of each meeting a thirty (30) minute question period shall be conducted during which
time the public may voice their comments. Persons wishing to speak should identify themselves, any
organization they may be representing at the meeting, and the agenda topic they wish to address. A
person wishing to be heard by the Board shall first be recognized by the President of the Board. The
speaker shall identify himself/herself identify town or village they reside and precede with his/her
comments as briefly as the subject permits. Comments should relate to school matters and will be
limited to five (5) minutes per speaker. The President is responsible for the orderly conduct of the
meeting and shall rule on such matters as the time to be allowed for public discussion, the
appropriateness of the subject being presented, and the suitability of the time for such presentation.
The Board, as a whole, shall have the final decision in determining the appropriateness of all such
rulings. Questions or concerns relating to employees of the District will not be permitted. Such
questions should be referred to the Superintendent of Schools at another time.

Approve the creation and posting of a 12:1:1 Special Education position Mooers grades 2/3. (This was
included in the budget)
13.
Request for an additional 10 days of work for the Director of Special Education for the summer of 2014.
Additional cost for this service will be $4,390.
14.
Approve the tuition rate of $7,000 for International students plus $2,500 for host family allowance. The
recommend state tuition rate is $7,221.
15.
Request from Superintendent Grenville to attend the New York State Association of Management
Advocates for School Labor Affairs 37th Annual Summer Conference in Lake Placid, NY on July 20-23, 2014
with expenses paid.

Bids for the 1,000 gallon double wall oil tank were opened on June 20, 2014 and there was one bidder, Jim
