Andrew Kam was named Managing Director, of Hong Kong Disneyland
Resort in August 2008, responsible for managing daily operations and
driving business growth.
The Resort comprises a theme park and two hotels with 1,000 rooms,
and employs more than 7,000 Cast Members. A five-year expansion
project was rolled out in 2009 under Kam’s leadership, adding three
new themed lands, namely Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch, and Mystic
Point to the Park. These projects further strengthened Hong Kong’s
position as one of the top travel destinations in Asia.

Kam is dedicated to serving the community. He holds a number of
public service positions including Chairman of the Advisory
Committee, Faculty of Management and Hospitality, The
Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong; Vice
Chairperson of the Promotion and Development Sub-Committee,
Community Investment & Inclusion Fund Committee; member of the
Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service, Social
Welfare Department, and member of the Tourism Strategy Group.
Kam started his career as sales manager for a Canadian company in
Hong Kong. In 1988, he joined Coca-Cola China Ltd., and has since
played marketing and operations roles at various locations including
Hong Kong, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Beijing, working his way up to the
position of General Manager of Operations for North and South-west
China.
In 2000, he joined the Hong Kong Tourism Board as Director and Chief
Representative of China.
In 2001, Swire Coca-Cola Bottling Company appointed him as
Marketing and Sales Director, to manage its Coca-Cola business in
Fujian province.
Immediately before joining Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Kam was
Deputy General Manager and Marketing & Sales Director for COFCO
Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd, a joint venture of China National Cereals,
Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation, and The Coca-Cola Company. He was
responsible for the marketing and sales functions in 14 franchised
markets across China, ranging from mature markets such as Tianjin to
developing areas such as Xinjiang.
Kam graduated from Dalhousie University in Canada achieving
Bachelor of Commerce (Hon.) degree in 1984 and Master of Business
Administration degree in 1986.
