Points (EIP)
This is the 120 day External Information Point (EIP2) and describes the
intended scope which Openreach has scheduled to be delivered as part
of EMP R2500, due for delivery on 22 March 2014.
As with previous releases, the deployment of the functionality shown below is dependent on successful
completion of our testing activities.
R2500 will contain changes to the following product areas:
• NGA
• Ethernet
• WLR
• LLU
• Cross Product
Details of the changes for each product are as follows:
NGA
Reference ID Change description SoR‐8297/OR‐ 15090 More Focused Appointments This will offer CPs the ability to offer their End Users 2 hour long appointment slots where the Openreach engineer will attend on WLR3 PSTN, ISDN2, MPF including mMPF and NGA Provision and Repair jobs. The new appointment slots will be visible to CPs via the ‘Flexible View’ of the appointment dialogue Ethernet Reference ID Change description OR‐14653 Ethernet KCI Development Phase 2 In phase 2 of a series of developments to improve Ethernet KCI’s. This story includes changes to KCI’s for amend orders and improved information of the progression of an order such as a breakdown of build work to be completed, build complete notification, fit and test complete notification. OR19004 Ethernet OSEA 40G / 100G Product Launch Reference ID Change description Openreach are planning to develop a new OSEA variant of its Optical Spectrum Service using Ciena AF6500 equipment in order to offer new 40G & 100G wavelength services and other product features such as ROADMs. OR‐17826 Address Matching – moved from 2450 in to R2500 NAD keys and Grid references will only be generated from INS, eliminating reference mis‐match and improving accuracy and fairness of price band application. OR‐16035 Service Usability & System Flexibility Project and Task Handling Test and Deploy – moved from 2450 in to R2500 Service Usability & System Flexibility Project and Task Handling This will enable the CP to request OR cancel their order after "Point of No Cancellation (PoNC)” notes that cancellation charges will apply. When the CP amends order details a KCI will confirm to the CP original and new order details. CPs can now request amendment of time related charges (TRC) up to the Fit and Test appointment. We have made the system more flexible and we will check to see if your provide order can be treated as successional and let you know in KCI 1.1, OR‐14643 Ethernet EMP Jeopardy Management Phase 2 Test and Deploy– moved from 2450 in to 2500 This will enable CPs to be informed when their order goes into jeopardy, keep them informed whilst in jeopardy on the action OR is taking and will notify CPs when the order is out of jeopardy. WLR Reference ID Change description SoR‐8297OR‐ 15090 More Focused Appointments This will offer CPs the ability to offer their End Users 2 hour long appointment slots where the Openreach engineer will attend on WLR3 PSTN, ISDN2, MPF including mMPF and NGA Provision and Repair jobs. The new appointment slots will be visible to CPs via the ‘Flexible View’ of the appointment dialogue Population of WLR3 ISD30 Reports Reporting enhancements to populate WLR3 ISDN30 within the online reporting suite. Amend, expedite and escalate in‐flight orders to an earlier date Impacts MPF, SMPF, PSTN, FTTC stand alone and SIM 1 orders. Moved from R2450 to R2500. SIM2 – PCP only.
