Nextpeer adds Facebook multiplayer integration to its latest Android SDK and offers developers a new free promotion opportunity with GameStream The launch After launching its Android SDK back in August, Nextpeer now launches a new version of it, with Facebook integration built into the SDK. Players can now play against their Facebook friends either synchronously or asynchronously across both iOS and Android. Games that are cross platform can now utilize the SDK in a brand new way, bringing their gaming community together. With this launch Nextpeer also now offers free promotion to select developers on its promotional network GameStream. This promotion offers game developers who create an outstanding multiplayer game up to 5 million impressions on Nextpeer’s GameStream. To make this process easier, Nextpeer has created a guide, codenamed the “treasure map”, which explains in detail how to go about and create a successful multiplayer game. Our Product Nextpeer’s platform allows any game developer to create a new multiplayer game or upgrade an existing game to include a multiplayer option. Using the SDK, developers can easily add synchronous tournaments based on high score competition and realtime activity. Leveraging the power of the SDK, developers can now create games in which players can see each other, interact, and share their experience with their friends. With the latest version of the SDK, all of this can be done across both iOS and Android. The SDK is designed to be very straightforward and simple, and thus basic integration takes approximately 15 minutes of work. Nextpeer also provides solutions for crosspromotion, discovery, multiple tournaments, simulated players (player recordings), Facebook challenges, push notifications, a web based dashboard for game control, analytics and more. Together with our iOS SDK, developers could now create cross platform multiplayer games very easily. We’ve now added the ability to challenge Facebook friends on our Android SDK. Users can now invite their Facebook friends for either a synchronous or an asynchronous game. Not only that, but because of the fact that our SDK is now available in both Android and iOS it does not matter which operating system is used by either the invitor or invitee in both cases they can play together. Players can choose any of their Facebook friends and challenge them to a tournament to see who’s better. The two can either play immediately together for a synchronous game or enter at different times and play asynchronously. In case of an asynchronous match, the first player’s recording will be played back to the second player, thus the second player will see the movements of the first player as if the group is playing with each other synchronously, even though each of them is playing at his or her own time. Asynchronous matches have a time limit, during which players can try to beat each others’ scores. Once the time expires, a winner is declared. Nextpeer also launched a new promotional deal that offers 5 million views for developers who follow the new development guide created by the company. This promotional deal has been codenamed the “treasure map”. Different multiplayer abilities are to be implemented in order to enjoy this promotion and include: creating a multiplayer only game, showing the competitors on the screen, utilizing the SDK’s Facebook engine, adding multiplayer power ups, customizing the SDK’s user interface, and several more. For the full list refer to the following link: http://www.nextpeer.com/quickstart Nextpeer estimates that completing all the steps within the treasure map will take a developer approximately 45 work days. Having completed the guide, developers will have a fully fledged multiplayer game in their hands, ready to hit the market and powered by 5 million impressions which they can receive on Nextpeer’s promotional network.
