Welcome to the 85th Annual Rhode Island State
Council Knights of Columbus Charity Ball.
This year’s theme “Knights in Shangri-La” celebrates a
mystical harmonious valley. Both a place, and an era of
enlightened consciousness. Thank you once again for
your overwhelming response to this year’s event.
As in the past we cannot make any event a success
without the tireless work of a dedicated committee. First
and foremost I would like to thank our State Deputy Jim
Gilcreast, for once again giving my wife Pam and myself
the opportunity to chair the Charity Ball. Pam and I also
have to thank Jim’s wife Mary for her time, and helping
hand whenever needed. We would like to give a special
thanks to our co-chairs DD Ron Ross & Cheryl. I also
would like to thank the Committee for their hard work
that made this all possible: Past State Deputy John
Marcello & Marge; State Secretary Peter Lentini &
Janet; State Treasurer Mike Benson & Lee Ann;
State Advocate Mike Dziok & Vicky; State Warden
David Quinn; Rebecca Schulte; FDD Jerry Scannell &
Mary; PGK Allan LaMake & Irene; DD Paul Galitskie
& Marlene; PFN Ernie Pennine & Estelle Bennett; DD
Mike Krzywonos & Pat. I wish to thank these
individuals for the many letters they sent out soliciting
items for the silent auction, ads for the program book and
their generous time and support.
Lastly, and surely not least, my deep heartfelt thanks to
my wife Pam for her tireless patience and support
throughout this year. I could not have done this without
her.
Enjoy the evening. Thank you to all the individuals,
Councils, Assemblies, Columbiettes, sponsors and donors
for supporting our charitable works. As you view and bid
for items, please keep in mind that all money raised in
the silent auction goes to support Special Olympics, Coats
for Kids and Scholarships, just to mention a few of the
charitable venues that benefit from our works.
Enjoy the Evening,
Philip J. DePaolo FDD

Welcome to the 85th Annual Rhode Island Knights of Columbus
Charity Ball.
On behalf of the Rhode Island State Council officers and members,
thank you for supporting the Ball. It is the largest fundraiser of our
fraternal year. Your generosity allows us to respond affirmatively
to the many requests for charitable aid we receive. Your generosity
truly exemplifies the first principle of our Order, that is, Charity.
Special thanks to our Chair couple, Philip and Pam De Paolo, and
co-chairs Ron and Cheryl Ross, who with the assistance of their
dedicated committee, put forth many hours of work to make this
event a success.
Enjoy this evening in Shangri-La, an exotic place where dreams
are realized.
Gratefully and Fraternally,
