Shireen Harbin Trials Search Co-ordinator Cochrane Back Review Group [email protected] Shireen graduated from the University of Toronto in 1999 as a Registered Nurse. After working for about 8 years in cardiovascular surgery and occupational health hospital settings, Shireen became discouraged that she was not able to have the public health impact that initially brought her to nursing, and decided a career change was what she needed. In 2010, Shireen graduated from the Library and Information Technician program at Seneca College. She worked as a Library Technician for 2 years at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) University before landing a contract position at the City of Hamilton Public Health – the perfect opportunity to combine her health care background with a new career in library and information technology. Luckily, her contract at the City of Hamilton ended at the same time the Trials Search Co-ordinator/Library Technician position opened up at IWH. Shireen is excited at the opportunity to continue her career of choice with Cochrane and IWH.
