Here we present summary and preliminary results of the Arctic-CARE 2014, a joint experiemt between the AWI and
the GRENE Arictic Research Project Atmospheric Group in Ny-Alesund. The primary purpose was to validate the new cloud
radar installed at the Rabben Station, Ny-Alesund with in situ cloud measurements taken from a tethered balloon system. Also
we aimed at comparing various observations on cloud characterizations.
