CLINIC DESCRIPTIONS
Ken is seeking horses to participate in his various horsemanship clinics. One horse will be selected for each clinic
and each clinic will be one hour in length; rider is not needed for clinic.
He requests video of a maximum of 5 minutes demonstrating skills as listed for each clinic.
Clinic #1: Overcoming Spooky Obstacles
• Help your horse to develop confidence on the trail.
• For this clinic, Ken is looking for a horse that displays fear of objects while trail riding such as inability to
cross water or failure to step over objects. Horses that try to run away from scary things will work well for this
clinic. Please submit video showing all the gaits the horse is capable of doing and ideally also show the horse
attempting obstacles if able to perform in a safe manner. Cost: $135
Clinic #2: Is Your Horse Pushing On the Bit?
• Three simple exercises to develop control over your horse’s head.
• For this clinic, Ken is looking for a horse that may push his nose out or throw his head up to get away from
the bit. The horse will also sometimes fight pressure on the bit and may potentially rear to get away from the
pressure. Please submit video showing all the gaits the horse is capable of doing and ideally, demonstrate a
situation where your horse tends to fight it’s bit if able to show in a safe and humane manner. Cost: $135
Clinic #3: Basic Fundamentals to Help Solve Dangerous Riding Problems
• Basic exercises to help you stay away from riding problems that can be very dangerous.
• For this clinic, Ken is looking for a horse with riding problems such as rearing, one that runs away or locks up
when asked to move its feet. Any riding problems except bucking will be considered. Ken prefers a horse that
doesn’t buck. Please submit video showing all the gaits the horse is capable of doing and ideally, showing
the horse’s riding problem if able to show in a safe manner. Cost: $135
