IMPRESSIVE TRACK RECORD
INCREASING ORGANISATIONAL CAPABILITY | ITV Plc
Following several years of under trading the appointment of a new executive team at ITV led to the launch of a five year
business transformation programme to ensure property contributed to the strategic priority of ‘creating a lean creatively
dynamic and fit for purpose organisation’. Appointed to lead the property workstream, the CPA team rationalised the existing
UK portfolio and re-engineered the property function introducing leading edge process improvements and refreshing the
supplier base.
The strong business relationship that formed between ITV and CPA was recognised by industry experts as leading practice
and achieved the CoreNet Partnership of the Year Award in 2013.
“CPA have played a key role supporting the
transformation of ITV into a lean, creatively
dynamic and fit for purpose organisation”

IMPROVING FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE | Rentokil PLC
New challenges saw the in-house team struggling and CPA was appointed to undertake a strategic review of the property
portfolio and to identify what actions would have a material impact on profitability across the global estate. A property
plan was agreed and executed in 3 main phases: de-clutter (to minimise cash drain and generate cash for reinvestment),
transition (to bring operational stepped change including smart policies and consistent processes) and alignment (to
deliver further compression and modernisation of the property footprint).
Results were outstanding – The estate dropped by 170 sites with annualised savings of £20 million whilst generating
£60 million.

SUPPORTING OPERATIONAL CHANGE| Ladbrokes PLC
A CPA review and subsequent tender of FM services achieved £2 million per annum savings across the 2,500 branch
estate. Due to this success, the study was extended to identify further areas of capability improvement. The team
undertook an organisational review and produced a report based on Ladbrokes “7-Levers of Functional Excellence” tool,
grading 7 factors and 21 areas of team competence against market.
Ten priority recommendations were made, focussing on those areas of highest value including: process and team
restructuring to optimise a £50 million expansion programme; alignment of relationships with trading operations to
increase responsiveness and communications; and better structured supplier relationships to improve capability, reduce
costs and improve governance.
“Excellent. The recommendations reinforced some views, dispelled others and
gave fresh ideas… which we are already putting into action”
Chris Robson, Group Property & Procurement Director
