Course Coverage for CPA Programs Simon Fraser University To qualify for direct entry into the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP), students with an undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University must have completed all of the following courses or have been granted sufficient transfer credit for each course. CPA PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM (CPA PEP) SUBJECT AREA REQUIRED COURSES Introductory Financial Accounting BUS 251 Introductory Management Accounting BUS 254 Economics ECON 103 and 105 Statistics BUEC 232 and BUS 336 Intermediate and Advanced Financial Accounting BUS 320, 321, and 420 Corporate Finance BUS 312 Audit and Assurance BUS 426 Taxation BUS 329 Intermediate and Advanced Management Accounting BUS 322 and 424 Strategy and Governance BUS 478 Business Law BUS 393 Information Technology BUS 237 Legacy Program Courses: Until June 2017, legacy CA, CGA, and CMA courses will be accepted for entry into the CPA PEP. For students who are completing courses required for entry into the CA, CGA, or CMA professional programs, these courses will be accepted for entry into the CPA PEP. Students must meet the prerequisite course requirements of only one of the CA, CGA, or CMA pathways to be accepted for entry into the CPA PEP; students will not be allowed to combine courses from the CA, CGA, or CMA pathways. Please note: Students who have completed either the CA, CGA, or CMA prerequisite courses will be eligible to register for the CPA PEP upon the completion of their respected pathway’s Module Zero.
