With a primary specialization in complex federal government real estate transactions, David has been a leading participant in
this arena for over a decade, providing project leadership in the marketing and leasing of office/special use space, transaction
due diligence, and lease contract negotiations on more than 200 separate federal government lease transactions across the

THE PETERSON COMPANIES
David has provided transaction advisory services in the acquisition of federal leases that has resulted in a portfolio of over
2.2 million square feet of build-to-suit space leased to high security, federal government tenants.
BRISTOL GROUP, INC
David served as the senior marketing and transaction lead in the leasing of over 350,000 square feet of space to various federal
agencies at 131 M Street, NE in Washington, DC. David created and successfully led the implementation of a strategic plan to
market this historic asset located in the emerging submarket of Washington, DC known as NoMa to the federal government.
David also provided transactional leadership on a 243,000 square foot renewal and expansion of the U.S. Department of State
at 1800 N Kent Street in Rosslyn, VA.
CIM GROUP
David provided transaction advisory leadership on a 186,000 square foot lease renewal for the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services, Administration for Children & Families, in Washington, DC and a 76,000 square foot net new lease for the U.S.
Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oakland, CA. Parkway Properties: David provided senior transaction leadership in the renewal
negotiation of 189,000 square foot U.S. Department of Health and Human Services lease in Chicago, IL.
TISHMAN SPEYER
Over the years, David has provided transactional guidance to Tishman Speyer on numerous assets across their national
portfolio. Recently, David led Tishman Speyer in the negotiation of a renewal for a major FBI lease in Milwaukee, WI and
currently serves as their federal government leasing broker on two buildings in the DC region in which the ownership is targeting
Government tenancy.

David served as a vice president with the Government Investor Services group in Jones Lang LaSalle’s (Spaulding & Slye) Washington,

THE LIONSTONE GROUP
On Lionstone’s behalf, David recently led the successful negotiation of a value critical full-building lease renewal
of an FDS tenancy in Rockville, MD. In addition, David has supported Lionstone in the pursuit of numerous federal
lease contracts across the country, including for the FBI in Austin, TX and the VA in San Francisco, CA.
MCI/TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (TSA)
David served as a team leader on a creative endeavor to arrange a sole-source multi-building property lease
for over 500,000 square feet between a bankrupt entity (MCI/ Worldcom) and the newly created TSA. The team
concurrently navigated the complex bankruptcy and federal real estate acquisition process to identify and implement
a solution that allowed TSA’s headquarters to be up and running in only 6 months. David supported the leasing,
design, construction and investment sales services on behalf of the MCI/Worldcom bankruptcy liquidation agent.
WALTON STREET / WESTBROOK PARTNERS
David successfully negotiated over 230,000 square feet of new and renewal leases for multiple federal agencies
in this client’s Boston and Seattle portfolios.
FORTRESS / STONEWATER PARTNERS
David provided transactional leadership in the 220,000 square foot lease renewal for the Department of Agriculture
in Alexandria, VA. Following the completion of this long-term lease renewal, David also provided support to the
investment sales eff ort, which resulted in an enormously successful sale on behalf of ownership.
CARLYLE GROUP
David represented Carlyle on the positioning of a 312,000 square foot speculative development project aimed at
federal government tenancy in Chantilly, VA. David also advised Carlyle in the successful disposition of this asset
upon delivery.
THE JBG COMPANIES
David represented JBG in the renewal negotiations for over 100,000 square feet of U.S. Food and Drug
Administration space in multiple assets in Rockville, MD. In addition, David provided transactional and marketing
leadership in the pursuit of Government tenants across JBG’s holdings in the DC Metropolitan region.
SFFP
David represented South Florida Federal Partners on over 200,000 square feet of government build-to-suits for
the U.S. Department of Homeland Security across South Florida.
EXPERIENCE REPRESENTING GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
GSA ADVANCED ACQUSITION PROGRAM
David represented the General Services Administration (GSA) in this federal lease acquisition program that
included more than 50 tenant assignments throughout Washington, DC, involving more than 80 landlords. In this
role, David worked on the leasing of over 750,000 square feet of tenant requirements.
GSA REGIONAL CONTRACTS
David provided transaction representation to the government directly in various GSA regions across the country,
covering nearly 30 states, in which he supported the successful negotiation of over 500,000 square feet of leases
on behalf of the U.S. Government.
