He and Rhonda bought a house in Brentwood Country Club; celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary; welcomed their fifth grandchild, Smith Franklin (his adorable picture is on our Facebook page!); and found out they are expecting their sixth grandchild in late June! Christmas Eve, they hosted dinner for the last time in the house they have called home for the past 20 years and Christmas Day, they spend time at Rhonda’s parents. Tommy went home to Raleigh, NC to enjoy the company of his family. There were 19 total family members under one roof which always makes the holidays interesting. Some of the activities consisted of a cornhole tournament, guy’s day that included shooting guns and watching movies, and taking his nieces and nephews around the neighborhood to look at all the lights on Christmas Eve. It was a great time had by all! April 26, Tommy will complete his first full marathon by participating in the St. Jude Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon. Last year he participated in the 1/2 marathon and decided to take on the challenge of the full marathon. He noted, “Hopefully the weather will be better this year than it was running two hours in the cold rain last year.” Training is in full swing and he can be found running on the weekends at Shelby Park in East Nashville. Cathleen and Jason’s holiday season was full of traditions. They traveled to Michigan where they enjoyed visiting with close friends, a family game night, and exchanging gifts including a new tradition: “Dirty Santa” which resulted in lots of laughter! Back in Tennessee on Christmas Eve, they watched Mr. Hollingsworth read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and Mrs. Hollingsworth read the birth of Jesus from the Bible. December 30, they attempted to stay warm at LP Field by cheering on Ole Miss at the Music City Bowl. Go Rebels! Ashley and Josh spent the holidays here in middle Tennessee. Most of Ashley’s family is in Nashville and Josh’s are in Ashland City. They made their rounds over Christmas week and made all five stops! Afterwards, they enjoyed their last quiet Christmas morning together before their baby boy joins them in June! They spent New Year’s Eve at a close friend’s home which overlooked Downtown Nashville where they enjoyed the fireworks at midnight. CONNECT WITH US OFTEN!
