Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) Collection Program
The Louisiana Municipal Advisory and Technical Services Bureau, Inc., (LaMATS), is a whollyowned subsidiary of LMA that was created in 1999 to help municipalities understand and grasp
new and emerging advances in information technology and revenue recovery. For the past 12
years, LaMATS has offered a successful, Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) Collection Program for
which there are 180 participating Cities and Parishes. The program has processed over
$130,000,000 in local tax revenue. As a means to strengthen its existing service offering and add
new services, LaMATS was proud to partner with government services leader, Revenue
Discovery Systems, (RDS).
