Integrated Crop Management (ICM)
What is ICM?
Study plan
ICM is a sustainable agricultural production system that improves overall crop health
with minimal impact on the environment. It optimizes yield and profitability, and takes
into consideration pest management, soil care, seed selection, crop nutrition, water
management, rural economics, landscape management and agricultural policy.

This programme is valuable for scientists, teachers, extension officers, policy makers
and post graduate students who already possess a Master’s degree in a related field and
wish to enrich their ICM knowledge. Candidates from emerging countries are particularly
encouraged to apply.
Module 7
Workshop: Visions for the future of agriculture
Module 14 is compulsory for the MAS.
Students admitted in the DAS have to
validate modules 1 to 13 (40 ECTS)
The ICM programme aims to provide knowledge in the field of sustainable agriculture
and to promote the adoption of sound crop management principles, in particular in
developing countries.
Programme outcome
Module 8
Pest management
Participants will acquire a wide variety of skills and broad scientific knowledge in the
field of sustainable agriculture. This will facilitate the acquisition of positions in both
the public and private sectors, including government, research, universities, advisory
services, NGOs and industry.
Credit points
The MAS counts 60 ECTS
The DAS counts 40 ECTS
