The LCC-MAHE Election Committee has evaluated the results from the 3/28 election. The committee
made the following determinations:

The nomination process proceeded according to the bylaws and guidelines established by LCCMAHE and the MEA.
The conduct of the election met the standards set by MEA guidelines and LCC-MAHE past practice.
Three individuals who were ineligible voted in the election due to an error in the voter list. A
thorough review determined that the remaining votes were validly cast by eligible voters.
These three votes could not have altered the outcome of any of the contested positions, except
for the position of LCC-MAHE President.
According to MEA guidelines, these circumstances call for a re-vote for the position of LCC-MAHE
President.
MEA guidelines also indicate that a re-vote is not necessary for the other positions on the ballot
because the disputed votes could not have altered the outcome for any other position.
Cindy Storie has withdrawn from consideration for the position of LCC-MAHE President. For this
reason, a re-vote for the position of LCC-MAHE President in not required. Sally Pierce is the new
LCC-MAHE President because the position is not being contested.
Marc Thomas has withdrawn from consideration for the position of LCC-MAHE Vice-President. For
this reason, Jeff Lang, the next highest vote getter, is the LCC-MAHE Vice-President.
Cindy Storie and Marc Thomas have also withdrawn from consideration from all other positions on
the ballot. For this reason, Sally Pierce and Curlada Eure-Harris join Ed Bryant as MAHE State
Board Representatives by virtue of being the next highest vote getters. No other positions were
affected by this withdrawal.
The final results of the LCC-MAHE election are as follows:
LCC-MAHE President: Sally Pierce
LCC-MAHE Vice-President: Jeff Lang
Michigan MAHE Representatives: Ed Bryant, Sally Pierce, Curlada Eure-Harris
The candidates for all other positions are elected because the number of candidates matched or was
less than the number of positions available.
