Announcingtheelectionnominations
fortheelectionofstudentrepresentativestotheself-governingbodieson23November2016
TheElectionCommitteehasapprovedthefollowingnominations.Inaccordancewithparagraph9oftheOrdnungzurDurchführungvonWahlenanderHochschuleAnhalt(RegulationsforConductingElectionsatAnhaltUniversity)of16March2005,thefollowingshouldbenoted:
1.Theelectedmembersareelectedbytheeligiblevotersofthegroupsofvotersindirect,free,equalandsecretelectionsaccordingtotheprinciplesofeitherpersonalizedproportionalrepresentationormajorityelections.Ifthenumberofvotersinonegroupofvoterswhoiseligibleto
voteforself-governingbodyrepresentativesisthesameasorsmallerthanthenumberofrepresentativestobeelectedinthisgroup,paragraph
30oftheOrdnungzurDurchführungvonWahlenanderHochschuleAnhalt(RegulationsforConductingElectionsatAnhaltUniversity)comes
intoforce.
2.Proportionalrepresentationtakesplaceifthreeormorerepresentativesaretobeelectedbyagroupofvotersandatleasttwovalidnominationshavebeensubmittedbythisgroupofvotersandthesenominationstakentogetherhaveatleasttwiceasmanyapplicantsasthenumberof
memberstobeelected.Thevoterhasasmanyvotesasthenumberofmembersofhisgrouptobeelected(totalvotes).Thevotermaydistribute
thetotalvotesonthecandidatesofthenominationsandcastuptotwovotesforonecandidate.Withthetotalvotesinmind,thevotershould
casthis/hervotebytickingthepre-printednamesofcandidatesontheballotpaperinthecolumns‘1stvote’or‘2ndvote’.Theseatsaredistributedaccordingtothed'Hondtmethod.
3.Majorityelectionwithrestrictiontotheproposedcandidatesonlytakesplaceiflessthanthreerepresentativesaretobeelectedbyagroupof
votersandatleasttwovalidnominationsaresubmittedandthesenominationstakentogetherhaveatleasttwiceasmanyapplicantsasthe
numberofmemberstobeelected.Thevoterhasasmanyvotesasthenumberofmembersofhisgrouptobeelected(totalvotes).Thevoter
maydistributethetotalvotesonthecandidatesofthenominations.Thevotermaycastonlyonevoteforacandidate.Withthetotalvotesin
mind,thevotershouldcasthis/hervotebytickingthepre-printednamesofcandidatesontheballotpaper.Thecandidateswiththehighest
numbersofvotesareallocatedseatsinsequentialorderofthesefigures.
4.Majorityelectionwithoutrestrictiontotheproposedcandidatestakesplaceifonlyonevalidnominationornovalidnominationwassubmittedbyagroupofvotersorifonlynominationswithasinglecandidateweresubmittedorifthenumberofcandidatesinthesubmittednominationstakentogetherisnottwiceaslargeasthenumberofmemberstobeelected.Thevoterhasasmanyvotesasthenumberofmembersof
his group to be elected. The voter may cast one vote only for a candidate or someone else electable. With the total votes in mind, the voter
shouldcasthis/hervotebytickingthepre-printednamesofcandidatesontheballotpaperorbyenteringthenamesofotherelectablemembersofhis/hergroupofvotersinawaysoastoclearlyidentifythemember(s).Thecandidatesoranotherelectablepersonwiththehighest
numberofvotesareallocatedseatsinsequentialorderofthesefigures.
