ACTIVITIES IN UK

MKC TRUST (ROKO CANCER CAMPAIGN Reg. charity no. 1088603) is a charity which aims to increase awareness and
prevention of breast cancer in women, particularly those from ethnic minority backgrounds in United Kingdom.
Scaling new heights by putting cancer on the run
Our supporters know that when it comes to sporting
events, Roko Cancer is often a leader in the field. London's
Gurpal Singh Oppal, the charity's Legal Ambassador, together with our Global Ambassador Kulwant Dhaliwal, have
already run five marathons and in July took part in London's 'human race' by leading a team of 18 Roko Runners in
the British 10K London Run. Earlier in June, the two men
joined 350 members of Britain's Sikh Community in climbing Mount Snowden in Wales - a peak which at its height
reaches 7.8 miles. The gruelling climb raised £500 for both
Roko Cancer and Khalsa Aid, a humanitarian organisation.

Roko Cancer to have an Awareness Van in London
The charity's mobile Cancer Awareness & Screening units are
the USP of Roko Cancer Trust in India and have helped to save
numerous lives. Although operations in the UK are different blessed as it is with a better Health Care Delivery system - there
are British patients who are still being diagnosed with advanced
stage cancer. To help prevent this, the charity's Chairman, Mr.
APS
Chawla
plans to have
an awareness
van that will
visit vulnerable,
marginalised and elderly people.
Adapting Adopt Your Village
The 'Adopt Your Village' programme initiated by Roko’s Global Ambassador Kulwant Dhaliwal has been a success. To support that, Roko
Cancer's UK-arm will promote the initiative further to encourage champions such as Lord Bilimoria to support the
charity.
