All students are insured under legally
required accident insurance.
Valid during the activity according the
working plan and related direct travelling.
Covers accidents that take place in practical
studies and unpaid internships/placements
carried out in accordance with the curriculum
in Finland or abroad.


The insurance does not cover sickness or
accidents that take place in leisure time

An additional, optional travel insurance is
strongly recommended!

EU/ETA country residents are entitled to
health care in other member countries.
Finland also has agreements with some other
countries for Finnish citizens.
For heath care in EU/EEA countries and
Switzerland, you need a European Health
Insurance Card which can be obtained from
KELA.
http://www.kela.fi
The European Health Insurance Card is available to everyone
covered under the Finnish health insurance system. You can order
your card free of charge by phone or by filling out the application
form (SV 193sr, in Finnish) that you can either print from Kela’s
website or pick up at a Kela office.
