Amelia High School: 1st Semester Exam Early Dismissal Form
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Exams can be an especially stressful time for students. It is important that they prepare
themselves physically and mentally. During these few days, AHS will maintain a quiet
focused environment, which will allow all learners the opportunity to perform at their best.
The exam schedule allows students to leave after 11:00 am on Tuesday 1/13/15 and Thursday
1/15/15. However, parental permission is necessary for student dismissal and required for
our records. THIS FORM MUST BE submitted to the Principal’s Office by January 9th. Students
MAY NOT text or call home for permission! Students are welcome to stay and will report to
the MPR for quiet study or to a teacher for study assistance.
Your signature below signifies your permission for your student to be released early on
January 13th & January 15th following their exams.

Please note:









Students are required to be in attendance for
exams; Students with late arrival or early
dismissal need not report during those exam
times.
There are no exam exemptions.
Exams should not be given/taken early.
Students MAY have early dismissal so long as
they turn the required permission slip in to the
office by January 9th.
Students will NOT be permitted to call or text to
leave early, permission by this form must be
submitted.
Students may NOT attend an exam, leave
school, and then return before the next exam
on the same day. Students must be held in the
exam period for its duration.
Classes should remain quiet throughout the
exam period.
No hall passes during the exam periods.
Students who choose to remain must report to
the MPR for quiet study or a teacher for study
help.
