Introduction
Mathematics and Statistics play an essential
role in contributing to various field of
knowledge. Mathematics and Statistics are vital
enabling tools that directly contribute to the
development of other fields, i.e, informatics,
medicine, engineering, economics and business
as well as catalyst for human capital
developments. An annual meeting to discuss
and promote researches, developments and
innovations which involves Mathematics ,
Statistics and its related fields has been held
officially under the name of International
Conference on Mathematics, Statistics and its
Applications since 2005 in Lake Toba, Indonesia.
This event is an initiave by the IndonesiaMalaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT)
formed in 1993 by the governments of
Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to accelerate
economic transformation in less developed
provinces. In line with the desire to promote
Mathematics and Statistics among IMT-GT
members, the School of Informatics and
Applied Mathematics, in collaboration with
Malaysian Mathematical Society (PERSAMA) is
proud to organize the 10th IMT- GT
International Conference on Mathematics,
Statistics and its Applications (ICMSA 2014)
with the notion to bring together scholars
representing various disciplines of Mathematics
and Statistics.
Objectives
to provide a platform for researchers,
educators, and students to exchange
ideas, communicate and discuss research
findings
and new advances in
mathematics and statistics.
to explore possible avenues to foster
academic and student exchanges, as well
as scientific activities within the region.
Scopes
ICMSA 2014 welcomes original papers in the
following areas:
Mathematics
Statistics
Operational Research
Computer Science
Full Paper and Abstract Submission
Papers that need to be considered for
presentation
and publication
in the
conference proceedings must be submitted
before May 30, 2014. Papers prepared in MS
Word must be set on A4 paper size with an 11point body text. Please note that there is an
8- page limit on the length of the paper.
Authors are advised to refer to the conference
web site http://icmsa2014.umt.edu.my/ for
specific guidelines and template in the
preparation of their manuscripts. Proceedings
of ICMSA2014 will be indexed in ISI/SCOPUS.
Abstracts and full papers may be submitted via
EasyChair.

The conference organisers are not responsible
for participant’s accomodation. Participants
must make their own accomodation
arrangements as per their personal need. The
conference will be held at Permai Hotel and

Excursion
At the 3rd day of the conference, a half-day bus
