It is the heart desire of every parent for their children to learn and grow. This workshop aims to
equip parents with different ways to promote learning and communication skills during their
child's vital years. In addition, parents will also be exposed to different challenges in bringing up
kids with autism, hyperactivity, speech difficulties, etc.
A5: MiGO2 (MENTORING THE INTERNET GENERATION
ONLINE AND OFFLINE) by Generasi Gemilang
Target audience: Family with Teenage Children | Language: ENG & MAND
MiGO2 aims to bridge the digital divide between parents and children by helping them
understand the ABCs of the Internet today related to social networking, gaming and
pornography. During these sessions, parents are encouraged to be participative in their child’s
Internet activity as an effort to mentor the next generation.

It is vital for one to take wise steps in building a strong foundation for a successful career, life and
future. This workshop aims to provide us with valuable insights and practical tips!
B3: INVESTING FOR YOUR FUTURE by Danny Yeo / Bryan Chung
Target audience: Young Working Adults, Professional Working Adults and Family | Language: ENG
Investing isn't just for the wealthy. Almost anyone can devote some money for investments to
grow their wealth for the future. This workshop aims to equip people with practical investment
practices and steps to avoid the rat race.
B4: RAISING SECURE CHILDREN IN AN INSECURE WORLD by Tan Su Chen
Target audience: Young Family with Kids below 12 Years Old, Professional Working Adults and Family
Our influence is undeniably powerful as our words and actions can either build up, or
inadvertently tear down a child. Sowing seeds of security from an early age will nurture healthy
children. This workshop aims to equip parents, teachers and child workers with skills-based
knowledge to raise secure children.
B5: PARENTING TEENS by Patrick and Germaine Cheng
Target audience: Family with Teenage Children
Many parents struggle to raise up their teenage children because they are not able to understand
the Youth Culture or adapt a suitable parenting style. Therefore, this workshop aims to provide
relevant tips and guidelines to help parents raise up biblical teens.
B6: STILL SOARING HIGH by Ps Geraldine James
Target audience: Golden Eagle
After much contribution to the society and their family, the Golden Age may feel lonely
sometimes without a clear purpose in life. In this workshop, we are going to share how the Golden
Age can still soar high up like an eagle with a clear sense of God’s purpose. We also aim to help
the Golden Age avoid the empty nest syndrome.
Profile Summary
FOCUS ON THE FAMILY
Focus on the Family Malaysia, established in 1997, is a
non-profit organization set up with a clear vision to
strengthen families. They are committed to
strengthening the family unit so as to encourage and
promote an enriched family life for all.
Their aim is to collaborate with professional
counselors, educators, government agencies,
corporations, family support organizations, and
resource agencies who are dedicated to the
preservation of the family. They help families to thrive
by providing sound family content, relevant
resources, effective events and programs, and
counseling help, as reflected in seven core areas.
ESTEE TAN
Estee started her career as a Financial Analyst in hotel
acquisitions in a public listed Hotel REIT (Real Estate
Investment Trust) in Memphis, USA. She is currently the
General Manager of Hotel Group for a public listed
property development company in Malaysia. Her job
scope involves hotel management and new local and
overseas hotel developments.
Estee is married to Chang Sow Fong and both of them
are actively serving in the Mandarin Church at Hope
Kuala Lumpur. They have two boys, Ian and Sean, aged
13 and 15 respectively.
BRYAN CHUNG
Bryan currently leads a company in Malaysia which
manages investments and capitals for different groups
of companies and individuals. He is passionate about
financial investments and actively involved in Hope
Kuala Lumpur Worship Ministry.
OO KAH PHENG
Kah Pheng is a speech language pathologist at
Sunway Medical Centre’s Speech and Hearing Centre.
As a speech therapist, she deals mainly with hearingimpaired children, autistic children, children with
feeding disorders, apraxia (problems with the oral
motor muscles) and swallowing disorders. She also
helps adults with speech problems.
PATRICK AND GERMAINE
Patrick and Germaine Cheng have been involved in
counseling and the Christian ministry for more than 30
years. Patrick is a full-time Christian minister and is
currently the Executive Director of National Association
of Christian Counsellors Malaysia. Meanwhile, Germaine
is passionate with the children ministry. They are
married for 29 years and have first-hand experience in
understanding different styles of parenting while raising
their two sons, now aged 25 and 21.
GENERASI GEMILANG
Generasi Gemilang is a not-for-profit organization
committed to building a strong nation by raising
exemplary next-generation and strengthening families.
They believe that love transforms lives; therefore their
work inspires hope in people and empowers them to
live life to their fullest potential. Generasi Gemilang
actively reaches out to children, youth, families,
schools, corporations and communities in Malaysia.
ALEX CHAN
Alex used to be a key member of the management of a
public listed oil and gas company. Several years ago,
he decided to start his own oil and gas related
company. Currently, his company serves many major
oil and gas companies in the world.
Alex is actively serving in Hope Kuala Lumpur.
KAREN ENG
Karen has been working in the corporate world for more
than 20 years. Currently, she leads the Risk and
Compliance practice in a major insurance company in
Malaysia.
She is married to Kim Hock and they have 3 teenage
children.
DANNY YEO
Danny serves in various ministries in Hope Kuala
Lumpur. In addition, he is also working in a public
listed company. In the company, he is mainly
managing transformation projects and improving
business processes and performance.
TAN SU CHEN
Tan Su Chen is a Registered and Licensed Counselor
(Malaysia) and holds a Masters in Counseling (HELP
University). She is also a Certified Trauma & Loss Specialist
– Clinical (National Institute for Trauma & Loss in Children,
USA) and an International Professional Member of The
Association of Play Therapy (USA).
Her clinical experience and practice focuses on providing
therapy for children and adolescents experiencing issues
such as poor self-esteem, aggression, depression, anxiety,
bully, trauma, abuse and neglect, divorce and grief.
Su Chen currently counsels children, teenagers and parents
clients at KIN & KIDS Marriage, Family and Child Therapy
Center (www.kinandkids.com) in KL.
PS GERALDINE JAMES
Ps Geraldine James currently teaches and ministers in
the Lifeline International Ministries. She is passionate
about prayer, intercession and power ministry. Despite
being in the Golden Age, she still actively ministers to
different churches in Klang Valley and USA.
