Project:
Advantage Energy - Bantry Compressor Station
The Situation:
Declining field pressures resulted in a large rental
package now being grossly oversized for the application resulting in reduced Netback for the site. In addition, there was an existing installed unit just sitting idle
not being utilized for production.
Objectives:
To continue operating within ERCB license
To avoid moving units
To minimize installation costs
To improve asset utilization
To lower operating costs thru reduced O&M and
fuel gas costs
To meet production requirements
Alternatives considered
Status quo was considered but not an option given the
declining field production
Returning the oversized rental package and either purchasing or re-renting a smaller horsepower package but
still had the under utilized idle package to contend with.
Could redeploy the idle package to another application
but what about the current situation?
We could reconfigure the existing idle package and return
the rental unit
NGC Proposal:
NGC conducted a site audit to ensure a comprehensive understanding of
what was required, what will work, and where savings can be identified.
Project scope to convert the idle Waukesha 2895 GSI Ariel JGR4 607 HP
package from two stage to three stage and provide a new 11.5 & rebuilt 11.5
first stage cylinders, using the existing 7.375 and 4.25 for second and third
stages respectively.
NGC provided a comprehensive, all inclusive, 100% firm price proposal including project schedule.
New incremental gas production after the reconfiguration will be 1.66 mmscfd
and at $4.00/mcf project pay back would be roughly 49 days resulting in a
annualized ROI (based on 97% utilization) of 716%.

Engineering & Project Management
NGC conducted a site evaluation further detailing scope, verifying measurements, and finalizing project plan.
Designed all spools & vessels maximize the amount of prebuilding which would subsequently minimize the field schedule.
Fabrication
Pre-fabricated all spools & vessels in the NGC
pressure shop and then shipped to site on time
Field Installation
NGC dedicated field retro-fit crew with fully equipped mobile workshop to install pre-fabricated spools, vessels,
hang new/rebuilt cylinders, relocate existing cylinder s,
and installed new cooler sections.
Field Service
In addition to the compressor reconfiguration,
NGC Field Service technicians completed engine
overhaul and final start up of the entire reconfigured package.
