The synchronous motor with permanent magnets runs on magnetic bearings and is driven by a variable frequency drive. Capacity control system The variable speed motor and the variable gap diffuser (VGD) modulate the chiller capacity within the range from 100% to roughly 15% of the nominal capacity. When the speed of the compressor cannot decrease further due to the cooling water temperature, the VGD closes little by little to adjust the gas flow through the compressor to meet the required cooling capacity. In addition, a hot gaz by-pass solenoid valve allows the chiller to obtain a very low load capacity if necessary. Motor casing could be made of stainless steel or aluminium. Heat exchangers Designed according the "state of the art" our heat exchangers play as a rigid structure so no base frame needed. Our condenser is fitted with Copper-Nickel tubes (90/10 or 70/30). Other materials are available upon request including, stainless steel, titanium... Our unit is fitted with a « falling film » evaporator capable of reducing the quantity of cooling fluid in the evaporator and therefore its size. Chilled Water Plant Cooling Station The cooling station supplies water around 20°C to cool the electrical panel and the frequency inventers. There is no heat rejection from our unit in the engine room.
