The ballot will be finalized on Tuesday evening at our General Membership Meeting November 4, 2014. If you have an interest in running for an Officer or Officer at Large positions, please contact a current Officer or Officer at Large. We will accept nominations until the close of our meeting on November 4. Ballots will then be mailed out to all current paid members and the results will be announced at our December 2 general meeting. We had the Raffle Car at the Boerne Market Days and Key to the Hill Country Car Show on October 11 and 12. We sold over $2,700.00 of raffle tickets at the two day event. Thank you to all the raffle car teams and the leaders Andrew Golden, Paul Mery and Jerry Hendley. The Gearheads Car Show at Cabela’s in Buda is coming up this Saturday, October 18, 2014. Several members are joining a caravan to drive our Corvettes to the car show. The raffle car will also be part of the show, Team Read will manage the ticket sales. On Saturday, October 25 we will have a TCA ALL event a POKER RUN, the CEO for this event is Jill Cook. More details will be out shortly. The Mustang car show is on Sunday October, 26, at the Rim and several members plan to display their Corvettes at this show. The raffle car will also be at the show, Team Hendley and Team Martin will handle the ticket sales. On Saturday, November 1, we will have our TCA ALL event at the Universal City Veteran Day Parade. The TCA traditionally supports this parade with up to 40 Corvettes. Barry Christman is the CEO for this event. If you would to participate, please contact Barry. On the evening of November 1, from 5:00 PM to 9:00PM we have a TCA car show scheduled at Sherlock’s Pub. We need 40 Corvettes on display for judging with awards to follow. All proceeds will be given to St. Jude’s Ranch. The raffle car will also be at the show. The San Antonio Auto Dealers Show will start on Thursday November 6 and run through Sunday, November 9, 2014. The raffle car will be on display in the SPURS booth for the weekend. All raffle ticket sales teams will be working this event. We will also have a TCA booth featuring the “7 Generations of Corvettes” one Corvette from each of the generations will be on display during the entire show. We will hold our second Car Show meeting on Wednesday, November 12. All members are invited to attend. Mark your calendar now for the TCA Christmas Party on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2014. Please do not miss this event, you will have a great time. Contact your Officer at Large for tickets. The Texas Corvette Association is YOUR club and the best way to get the maximum enjoyment out of your membership is through PARTICIPATION in our events. Then join us for a shift in our booth at the New Braunfels Wurstfest. Once again this year, the TCA will be manning 5 days of the 10 days of festivities. Volunteering for a shift includes free parking and free admission. Come early or stay late and enjoy the fun. We have a new, bigger booth this year and are eager to move in. As of 1972, he was the highest ranking officer in the military killed in action since the Vietnam war.
