Food processing typically takes clean, harvested crops/products and uses these to produce attractive, marketable and often long shelf-life food products. Processed foods are usually less susceptible to early spoilage than fresh foods and are better suited for long distance transportation from the source to the consumer. PROGRAMME FEE AND APPLICATION DATES There is no fee for this programme. Accommodation: The programme is non residential. The participants have to make their own stay arrangement for the programme. There are limited 35 seats for the programme and will be filled on First Come First Serve Basis. ELIGIBILITY The minimum eligibility criteria is SSC or HSC pass. Preference will be given to the candidates having some experience in agriculture or food processing. Existing entrepreneurs willing to diversify and expand the present activity also the progressive farmers are eligible for participating in this training programme.
