RECOMMANDATIONS:
• Le film pour vitres auto ne peut être posé que sur les vitres de
véhicule n‘ayant pas d‘influence sur la visibilité du conducteur
(à partir de la colonne B).
• Il est interdit de coincer ou fixer le film dans l‘encadrement
de la vitre ou le joint en caoutchouc.
• Le film pour vitres auto ne peut être posé sur la lunette arrière
que si le véhicule dispose de deux rétroviseurs extérieurs (à
droite et à gauche).
• Le numéro d‘homologation situé sur le film doit après la pose
être au moins une fois lisible sur chaque vitre revêtue de film.
• En présence d‘un 3ème feu de frein, il est interdit de recouvrir
ce dernier de film. Il convient donc de découper le film à la
dimension appropriée.
• L‘application sur verre feuilleté de sécurité n‘est pas autorisée
Un outillage de pose et un certificat d‘homologation sont joints à
chaque emballage de film pour vitres FOLIATEC. Ce certificat est à
conserver dans le véhicule comme preuve. Une inscription sur la
carte grise du véhicule n‘est pas nécessaire.

Prenez votre temps pour le
montage du film PROSHAPE!
Le film PROSHAPE est prédécoupé de sorte à couvrir, selon la situation, la plus grande surface requise. En raison de possibles différences,
un redécoupage du film peut s‘avérer nécessaire et ne constitue pas
un motif de réclamation. (Cf. illustration a).
Avant la pose, veuillez vérifier si la dimension des films
s’adapte bien à la face externe des vitres. Selon le véhicule, il peut s’avérer nécessaire de retirer certaines pièces d’habillage
situées sur le pourtour de la lunette arrière – Attention: à cet effet,
procédez avec précaution afin de ne pas endommager les clips de
fixation. Au cas où les tolérances seraient trop élevées et pour toute
question concernant la pose du film, veuillez vous adresser à:

NETTOYAGE DE LA VITRE
Note: avant le montage, veuillez vous laver soigneusement les mains. Ces dernières doivent être propres
et non grasses! Utilisez exclusivement le liquide de
pose/nettoyant JOY fourni. N‘utilisez en aucun cas de
produits nettoyants abrasifs (nettoyant pour freins,
essence de lavage etc.)

qui peut également donner des variations.
Dosage: Ajoutez dans une bouteille vaporisateur un tiers de
produit de JOY (8 ml) à env. 0,5 litre d’eau distillée puis
mélangez.
2Nettoyage des vitres (Fig. 2)
Pré-nettoyage de la vitre: enlevez la saleté fine avec le liquide de
montage et des chiffons en papier. Nettoyez toujours dans un seul
sens: du bord supérieur de la vitre vers le bord inférieur de la vitre.
Vaporisez le mélange plusieurs fois obtenu sur les faces intérieures
et extérieures de toutes les vitres à recouvrir. Nettoyez alors le
verre, les joints en caoutchouc et les cadres de toutes les vitres à
l’aide d’un chiffon. Assurez-vous qu’il n’y ait plus aucune traînée
grasse due éventuellement à la mousse du mélange. Enlevez les
taches tenaces qui sont sur le verre avec une lame. (Attention,
pour les vitres avec chauffage ou antenne : afin de ne pas endommager les fils, veuillez ne pas utiliser de lame de racle ou de rasoir).
Passez la raclette sur le verre nettoyé. A chaque fois que vous
passez la raclette, essuyez le bord de celle-ci avec le chiffon en
coton. Le sens de nettoyage est ici aussi du bord supérieur de la
vitre vers le bord inférieur de la vitre. Essuyez les joints et les bords
des vitres avec un chiffon en coton propre.

VERRE DIFFÉRENT DÛ À LA FABRICATION
Les constructeurs automobiles travaillent en partie avec différents
fournisseurs de vitrage. Ces derniers fabriquent des vitres de composition différente pour le modèle de véhicule respectif. Cela concerne
notamment les points suivants:
• Le pourtour des vitres (bordure noire tramée) peut varier
selon le fournisseur de vitres.
• La taille et la position du troisième feu stop peu vent être
différentes selon le fournisseur. Il est absolument interdit de
coller un film de vitre auto sur les feux de stop.
• Les raccordements pour le chauffage de la lunette arrière
peuvent être positionnés différemment selon le fournisseur.
• Il existe des points de fixation sur les déflecteurs.
• Existence éventuelle de logements d‘essuie-glace sur les
lunettes arrière.
•
Autres équipements qui diffèrent de l‘équipement de base.
Il peut en outre être nécessaire, lors de réimportations ou
d‘un changement de vitre suite à un accident de la route, de
réajuster le film Proshape. Dans des cas exceptionnels il y a des
légères variations comme des éditions spéciales ou après un
accident. Veuillez noter que pour des vitres non collées mais di-
Humidifiez l‘extérieur de la vitre avec du liquide de pose. Appliquez
le film, film de protection transparent vers le haut, sur la vitre à recouvrir (le cachet doit être sur la vitre et lisible à l‘endroit!). Avec le
plat de la main, lissez le film sur la vitre jusqu‘à ce qu‘il soit ajusté
exactement. A l‘aide du crayon feutre soluble dans l‘eau, marquez
sur le film les découpes correspondant à l‘équipement ou à la fabrication. Retirez le film de la vitre et découpez la découpe sur une
base appropriée à l‘aide du cutter fourni ou de ciseaux de ménage.
Ne découpez jamais sur la vitre pour ne pas la rayer et lissez avec le
plat de la main pour retirer le surplus de liquide.
POSE DU FILM DE L´INTÉRIEUR
4Humidification de la face intérieure de la vitre avec
le liquide nettoyant/pose (Fig. 4)
Utilisez une grande quantité de liquide de pose afin que le film
puisse glisser sur la surface aqueuse. La pose du film est alors
plus facile.
5Retrait du film de protection (Fig. 5)
Note: avant le montage, veuillez vous laver soi
gneusement les mains. Ces dernières doivent être
propres et non grasses!
Collez deux morceaux de ruban adhésif au-dessus et au-dessous
du coin supérieur du film puis retirez lentement le film de protec tion. Vaporisez avec beaucoup de liquide de montage la couche
adhésive du film de vitre auto en retirant le film protecteur pour
empêcher qu‘ils ne collent ensemble et pour qu‘il n‘y ait pas de
plis. Pour ne pas laisser d‘empreintes, ne touchez pas la couche
adhésive avec vos doigts. Car c’est ce côté du film qui sera collé
sur la face intérieure de la vitre!
6Mise en place sur la face intérieure de la vitre
(Fig. 6)
Prenez le film mouillé par les deux coins supérieurs. Veillez à ce
qu’il soit tendu afin que des parties de film n’entrent pas en
contact et se collent entre elles. Tenez le film tendu, allez avec
précaution à l’intérieur de votre véhicule et appliquez le film
côté humide sur la face intérieure également humide de la vitre.
Le film adhère automatiquement au verre. Le film peut être alors
glissé sur le film d‘eau à la position souhaitée.
7Elimination de l’humidité (Fig. 7)
Vaporisez abondamment le film. Formez un „H optique“. Enlevez
vers le haut et vers le bas le liquide à l‘aide de la raclette. Cette
zone est déformable à chaud. Appuyez le plus régulièrement
possible. Il faut passer la raclette jusqu’à ce que l’humidité soit
complètement éliminée et que le film adhère sans bulles d’air
ni plis. En cas de plis, vous pouvez les éliminer à l‘aide d‘un
sèchecheveux. Réglez le sèche-cheveux sur la position de
chauffage la plus basse (250 - 300°C) car le film peut brûler
facilement.
8Elimination de l’eau aux bords de la vitre (Fig. 8)
En passant la raclette, l’eau coule vers le joint de vitre inférieur.
Absorbez-la avec un chiffon doux en coton. En enroulant le
chiffon autour de la raclette, vous pouvez très bien essuyer l’eau
qui reste sur les bords de la vitre. Pour terminer, séchez avec un
sèche-cheveux.
ADJUSTAGE DU FILM DE L´EXTERÉRIEUR
Ajustage du film (ill. 3) avant la pose
Vérifiez le bon ajustage du film (cf. „divergences du verre dues
à la fabrication“). En présence de vitres à manivelle, veillez à ce
que le film PROSHAPE soit poussé à gauche et à droite sous la
glissière de vitre et sous le joint en caoutchouc. Vaporisez le
liquide nettoyant/pose sur la face extérieure de la vitre par
laquelle vous souhaitez commencer. Saisissez le film prédécoupé
avec la face de protection tournée vers vous, tendez le film avec
les mains, posez-le sur la face extérieure humide de la fenêtre
et positionnez-le. Ne retirez pas encore le film de protection!
Vaporisez à nouveau le film avec le liquide nettoyant/pose puis
passez la raclette pour enlever le liquide. Formez un „H optique“.
Passez la raclette vers le haut et le bas à partir des espaces
entre la barre médiane du H.
Ajustage du film pour des véhicules équipés d‘un
troisième feu stop ou de déflecteurs.
de la chaleur ou de rayons UV. Il se peut que ces bulles d‘air
restent sous le film de vitre auto et aient une influence négative
sur l‘adhérence et la durabilité du film.
• Lavez-vous les mains avant de procéder au montage.
•
Il se peut que des fonctions de certaines antennes (par ex. GPS,
radio, etc.), qui sont fixées sur une vitre de voiture recouverte
d‘un film de vitres auto métallisé (par ex. MIDNIGHT-REFLEX),
soient entravées.
• Le fonctionnement du chauffage de la lunette arrière n‘est
pas entravé.
•
Si vous souhaitez retirer le film de vitres auto, veillez à ne pas
endommager les fils de chauffage ou de l’antenne qui se
trouvent sur les vitres du véhicule. Le retrait est plus facile en
chauffant le film. Pour enlever les restes de colle, utiliser le
détachant FOLIATEC article n° 2250.
•
Conseil de montage pour les vitres avec trame à points: Pour les
vitres de voitures avec une bordure à points (points noirs, par
ex.), nous conseillons de découper le film de vitres auto le long
de la troisième bande de trame (ligne de points) pour assurer
une bonne adhérence du film.
AVERTISSEMENT:
Il est possible, lors d‘une exposition directe au soleil sous un angle
particulier de la face interne de la vitre avec film (p. ex. si la portière
ou le hayon sont ouverts), que la réflexion des rayons lumineux, en
raison de la forme bombée de la fenêtre, entraîne un effet de verre
ardent. Dans certaines conditions défavorables, la surface touchée
(selon le matériau employé) par le « faisceau » lumineux peut subir
un réchauffement inhabituel, éventuellement fondre ou même
s‘enflammer !
ENTRETIEN:
• N e pas ouvrir la fenêtre recouverte avec le film pendant les 3
premiers jours suivant la pose.
• Ne pas nettoyer l’intérieur des vitres pendant les 7 premiers
jours suivant la pose du film.
• N‘allumez pas le chauffage de la lunette arrière pendant les 7
premiers jours.
• Utilisez uniquement de l’eau claire (sans ajouter de produit de
nettoyage) pour le nettoyage des films de vitres auto et un
chiffon doux (pas d’éponge).
Après la pose du film, veuillez repasser à plusieurs reprises à l‘aide
d‘une racle sur la zone de tramage afin d‘optimiser l‘adhérence.

entre 15 et 25°C. Travaillez à l’abri du vent, de la poussières,
des rayons solaires directs; une pose dans une pièce fermée
serait idéale.

• Se è presente una terza luce di arresto, questa non può essere
rivestita con la pellicola. È necessario quindi tagliare la pellicola
per vetri in modo adeguato.
• L’applicazione della pellicola sulla stratificato non è permessa.
Ad ogni confezione di pellicole FOLIATEC sono allegati i mezzi di montaggio ausiliari e la certificazione ABG. Questa deve essere conservata
per attestazione nel veicolo. Non è necessaria la registrazione TÜV nei
documenti del veicolo.

DIFFERENZE DEL VETRO DOVUTE
ALLA FABBRICAZIONE
I produttori di veicoli collaborano in parte con diversi fornitori di vetro.
Questi producono, per il tipo di veicolo corrispondente, vetri con proprietà diverse. Ciò riguarda in particolare i punti seguenti:
• Il bordo del vetro (la linea nera punteggiata sul bordo del
vetro) può avere larghezze diverse a seconda del fornitore
di vetri.
•
A seconda del fornitore, la terza luce di arresto potrebbe
presentare dimensioni diverse o essere collocata in posizioni
differenti. Le luci dei freni diverse a seconda del tipo di costruzio
ne non possono essere rivestite con la pellicola per vetri per auto;
occorre quindi ritagliare la pellicola per lasciare fuori questi spazi..
• A seconda del fornitore, è possibile montare in punti diversi i
collegamenti per la resistenza del lu notto posteriore.
• Per i deflettori laterali i punti di fissaggio sono presenti sul vetro.
• Per i lunotti posteriori è possibile che siano presenti sedi per
i tergicristalli.
• Altre caratteristiche della dotazione che differiscono
rispetto alla dotazione standard. Inoltre, ad esempio in caso di
reimportazioni o di sostituzione di un vetro a causa di un incidente,
può essere necessario tagliare nuovamente la pellicola Proshape. Nei
casi eccezionali inesattezze del passaporto può accadere con le merci
importate RH, modelli speciali e dopo danni di incidente. Notate prego
inoltre quello con i disc, che sono regolati in adesivo ma nel dirket nella
gomma, che il formato di gomma nei diversi casi può variare. Quelli
possono condurre forse similarmente alle inesattezze del passaporto.
La pellicola PROSHAPE è adatta all‘impiego in tutte le situazioni in
cui sia necessario coprire le superfici più ampie. A causa delle eventuali
differenze citate sopra, può risultare necessario tagliare di nuovo la
pellicola; una simile evenienza non costituisce motivo di reclamo. (ved.
Figura a).
Prima del montaggio controllare che le pellicole siano
adatte al lato esterno del vetro. A seconda del veicolo può essere necessario rimuovere le parti di rivestimento della cornice del lunotto – Attenzione: procedete con cautela per evitare di danneggiare le clip
di fissaggio. In caso di tolleranze eccessive o in caso di domande sul
montaggio della pellicola, siete pregati di rivolgervi a:

PULIZIA DEL CRISTLLO:
Nota: Prima di iniziare il montaggio, lavarsi accuratamente le mani in modo che siano pulite e sgrassate. Utilizzare
esclusivamente il mezzo di montaggio/detergente JOY in
dotazione. Non utilizzare in alcun caso detergenti aggressivi (detergente per freni, benzina solvente, ecc.!)
Miscela del liquido per l’applicazione e la pulizia (fig. 1)
In un dosatore d’acqua spray miscelare ca. 0,5 litri d’acqua
distillata con un tappino di liquido (8 ml) JOY.
2Pulizia del vetro (fig. 2)
Pulizia preliminare del vetro: rimuovere lo sporco più fine con liquido
di montaggio e salviette di carta. Pulire sempre solo in una direzione: dal bordo superiore al bordo inferiore del vetro. Spruzzare più
volte il liquido per l’applicazione e la pulizia le parti interne ed esterne di tutti i cristalli da rivestire. In seguito, pulire con un panno il
vetro, le guarnizioni in gomma e l’intelaiatura dei cristalli. La formazione di schiuma vi indocherá che tutte le superfici sono pulite. Con
una lametta per rasoio rimuovere i residui ostinati sul vetro. (Prestare attenzione nel caso di vetri riscaldati o di antenna a vetro: in
questi casi, per non danneggiare i fili, non è possibile utilizzare un
raschietto a lama). Asciugare il vetro pulito con la spatola. Dopo
l’uso, asciugare il bordo della spatola con il panno in cotone. Anche
in questo caso, la direzione di pulizia va dal bordo superiore al
bordo inferiore del vetro. Per asciugare le parti in gomma e i bordi
dei finestrini utilizzare un panno in cotone pulito.
ADATTAMENTO DELLA PELLICOLA SULLA
PARTE ESTERNA DEL CRISTALLO
Adattare la pellicola (Figura 3) prima del montaggio
Controllare la precisione di corrispondenza della pellicola (vedere
„Differenze del vetro dovute alla produzione“). In caso di finestrini
abbassabili, accertarsi che la pellicola PROSHAPE venga inserita a
sinistra e a destra sotto la guida del finestrino e sotto la guarnizione
protettiva in gomma del vetro. Spruzzare la parte esterna del cristallo, da cui si comincia, con il liquido per l’applicazione e la pulizia.
Afferrare la pellicola pretagliata tenedo il lato della pellicola protettiva rivolto verso di voi, tenerla tesa con le mani appoggiandola
sullato esterno inumidito del vetro, quindi misurare la pellicola. Non
rimuovere ancora la pellicola di protezione! Con il liquido per
l’applicazione e la pulizia spruzzare di nuovo la pellicola e, in seguito, con l’apposita spatola, rimuovere il liquido. Formare idealmente
una H. Gli interstizi tra l‘astina centrale della H devono essere rimossi con una spatola sia in alto che in basso. Adattare la pellicola in caso di veicoli con terza luce di arresto o cristal-
li laterali orientabili.
Inumidire la parte esterna del vetro con il liquido di montaggio.
Applicare la pellicola sul vetro da rivestire rivolgendo verso l‘alto il
lato con protezione trasparente della pellicola (lo stampo di prova
deve essere applicato sul vetro ed essere leggibile a lati non
invertiti!). Distendere con la mano la pellicola sul vetro fino a farla
adattare perfettamente. Mediante il pennarello con inchiostro solubile in acqua, disegnare le sezioni sulla pellicola in base alla
dotazione e/o alla fabbricazione. Rimuovere la pellicola dal vetro
e tagliare la sezione su una base idonea mediante il taglierino
fornito in dotazione o un paio di forbici per uso domestico. Non
tagliare in alcun caso sul vetro, in quanto ciò potrebbe danneggiarne
la superficie (graffi).
APPLICAZIONE DELLA PELLICOLA SULLA
PARTE INTERNA DEL CRISTALLO
4Spruzzatura della parte interna del cristallo con il
liquido per l’applicazione e la pulizia JOY (fig. 4)
Utilizzare un‘abbondante quantità di liquido di montaggio per fare
sì che la pellicola scorra sullo strato di liquido. Questo faciliterà il
posizionamento della pellicola.
5Rimozione della pellicola di protezione (fig. 5)
Nota: Prima di iniziare questa fase di montaggio,
lavarsi accuratamente le mani in modo che siano
pulite e sgrassate.
Incollare due strisce di nastro adesivo sulla parte superiore e inferiore
dell’angolo superiore della pellicola e quindi rimuovere lentamente
tutta la pellicola di protezione con un movimento in direzione
opposta. Rimuovendo la pellicola protettiva,nebulizzare lo strato di
collante della pellicola con abbondante liquido da montaggio. In
questo modo, si impedisce che si appiccichi e si formino pieghe, ecc.
Non toccare lostrato adesivo per evitare di lasciare impronte.
La parte adesiva della pellicola viene attaccata al vetro internamente.
6Posizionamento sulla parte interna del cristallo
(fig. 6)
Afferrare la pellicola ora umida su entrambi i lati. Assicurarsi di
mantenere la pellicola leggermente in tensione in modo tale che le
parti non entrino in contatto e aderiscano tra loro. Portare con
attenzione la pellicola tesa all’interno del veicolo ed ivi posizionarla
sul lato interno del cristallo. La pellicola si stenderà automatica mente sul vetro. Portare la pellicola nella posizione desiderata su
questo strato di liquido solo facendola scorrere.
7Eliminazione dell’umidità mediante spatola (fig. 7)
Spruzzare abbondantemente la pellicola. Formare idealmente
una H. Spatolare il liquido verso l‘alto e verso il basso; quest‘area
può essere deformata con il calore. Inoltre, esercitare una
pressione quanto più possibile uniforme. E’ necessario passare
con la spatola fino a quando l’umidità non viene rimossa
completamente e la pellicola è priva di bolle e pieghe. Qualora
dovessero formarsi pieghe, eliminarle utilizzando un asciugaca
pelli. Lavorare tuttavia solo con il livello di calore più basso (250 300°C), in quanto la pellicola potrebbe bruciarsi leggermente.
8Rimozione dei residui d’acqua dal contorno del
cristallo (fig. 8)
L’umidità eliminata mediante la spatola raggiunge la guarnizione
del cristallo. Asciugarla con il panno morbido in cotone. Se si
avvolge la spatola con il panno in cotone, è possibile rimuovere in
modo efficace i residui d’acqua presenti nel bordo del cristallo.
Infine, con l’asciugacapelli asciugare questa zona.
ULTERIORI INFORMAZIONI:
•
La temperatura di lavorazione ideale per la pellicola per vetri
auto FOLIATEC è compresa tra 15° e 25°C. Si consiglia di
lavorare in condizioni di assenza di vento e polvere, lontano
dalla luce diretta del sole e, preferibilmente, in un ambiente chiuso.
• Applicare la pellicola solo sulla parte interna del finestrino e su
vetro puro. In caso di applicazione su materiali acrilici e plexiglas,
l’adesivo può intaccare il materiale.
• Si garantisce che la funzione della pellicola di rivestimento FOLIATEC
non viene compromessa dall’accensione del riscaldamento del
lunotto posteriore.
•
Per l‘applicazione della pellicola Autoglas impiegare
esclusivamente il concentrato JOY per la pulizia e l‘applicazione
di FOLIATEC. Non impiegare altri detergenti o strumenti per
l‘applicazione.
I vetri di plastica (materiale acrilico, plexiglas, ecc.) contengono
plasticizzanti speciali che possono essere liberati sotto forma di
bolle d‘aria a causa di effetti termici (calore) o radiazioni ultraviolette. Queste sostanze possono liberarsi attraverso la pellicola
per vetri per auto solo in determinate condizioni, cosa che si
ripercuote, inoltre, sull‘adesione e la tenuta di questa.
• Lavarsi le mani in modo che siano pulite e sgrassate prima di
iniziare il montaggio.
•
In caso di antenne integrate al cristallo (ad es. per GPS, radio,
ecc.), applicate ad un vetro rivestito con pellicola Autoglas
metallizzata (ad es. MIDNIGHT-REFLEX), possono verificarsi
limitazioni di funzionamento.
• Il funzionamento del riscaldamento del lunotto posteriore non
viene alterato.
•
In caso di rimozione delle pellicole Autoglas mediante strappo, è
possibile che i fili dell’antenna e le resistenze sbrinatrici
applicate ai vetri del veicolo vengano danneggiati. Attraverso il
riscaldamento della pellicola, se ne facilita la rimozione. Per
eliminare i residui di adesivo, utilizzare l‘apposito prodotto di
FOLIATEC, codice art. 2250.
•
Suggerimento per il montaggio in caso di vetri con retino a
punti: In caso di vetri con area marginale con retino (ad es.
punti neri), si consiglia di ritagliare la pellicola Autoglas lungo il
terzo nastro del retino (linea a punti del retino), poiché, in caso
contrario, la capacità adesiva in quest’area potrebbe ridursi.

AVVERTENZA:
Per le pellicole metallizzate vale quanto segue:
È possibile che una determinata incidenza dei raggi solari diretti sul lato
interno del vetro rivestito di pellicola (ad es. con portello posteriore o
portiere aperti) possa provocare il riflesso dei raggi stessi e causare,
data la forma bombata del vetro, una collimazione dei raggi (effetto
lente focale). In determinate condizioni sfavorevoli, la superficie sulla
quale si riflette il raggio di luce “collimato” (a seconda del materiale)
può surriscaldarsi in modo eccessivo, in alcuni casi fondersi o incendiarsi.
INDICAZIONI PER LA MANUTENZIONE:
• Non abbassare il finestrino su cui è stata applicata la pellicola,
per i primi 7 giorni.
• Non pulire dall’interno il vetro a cui è stato applicata la pellicola,
per i primi 7 giorni.
• Non accendere il riscaldamento del lunotto durante i primi 7 giorni.
• Per la pulizia delle pellicole Autoglas impiegare esclusivamente
acqua (senza aggiunta di detergenti) ed un panno soffice (nessuna
spugna).
• Nell‘area del reticolato è necessario spatolare più volte per
migliorare la capacità adesiva.

• Die Autoglasfolie darf nur an Fahrzeugscheiben aufgebracht
werden, die für die Sicht des Fahrzeugführers nicht von Bedeutung
sind (ab B-Säule).
• Ein Verklemmen bzw. eine Verbindung der Folie mit der Schei beneinfassung oder der Gummidichtung ist unzulässig.
• Die Autoglasfolie darf nur auf der Heckscheibe aufgebracht
werden, wenn das Fahrzeug über zwei Außenspiegel (rechts
und links) verfügt.
• Die auf der Folie aufgebrachte ABG-Zulassungsnummer (ABG:
Allgemeine Bauartgenehmigung) muss nach der Montage an
jedem folienbeschichteten Fenster mindestens einmal lesbar sein.

Fahrzeughersteller arbeiten z. T. mit verschiedenen Glaslieferanten.
Diese fertigen für den jeweiligen Fahrzeugtyp die Scheiben mit abweichenden Eigenschaften. Dieses betrifft insbesondere folgende Punkte:
• D er Scheibenrasterrand (schwarzer umlaufender Punktrand)
kann je nach Scheibenlieferant unterschiedlich breit sein.
• Je nach Lieferant kann die dritte Bremsleuchte unterschied lich groß oder unterschiedlich positioniert sein.
• Die Anschlüsse für die Heckscheibenheizung können
je nach Lieferant an verschiedenen Stellen angebracht sein.
• Bei seitlichen Ausstellfenstern sind Befestigungspunkte
auf der Scheibe vorhanden.
• Bei Heckscheiben können Scheibenwischeraufnahmen
vorhanden sein.
•
Andere Ausstattungsmerkmale, die von der Grundausstattung abweichen. Desweiteren kann es z.B. bei Re-Importen
oder nach unfallbedingtem Scheibenaustasuch notwendig
sein, die Proshape Folie nachzuschneiden. In Ausnahmefällen
ENGLISH
können bei Re-Importen, Sondermodellen und nach Unfallschäden Passungenaugigkeiten auftreten. Bei Scheiben, die
nicht geklebt sondern direkt im Gummi eingefasst sind, kann
die Gummigröße in einzelnen Fällen variieren. Dies kann unter
Umständen ebenfalls zu Passungenauigkeiten führen.
Anpassen der Folie bei Fahrzeugen mit 3ter Brems leuchte oder ausstellbaren Seitenscheiben.
Die PROSHAPE-Folie ist auf die jeweilige Situation zugeschnitten, in der
der größte Bereich abgedeckt werden muß. Auf Grund o.a. möglicher
Abweichungen kann ein Nachschneiden der Folie erforderlich sein und
stellt keinen Reklamationsgrund dar. (siehe Bild a).
Streifen Sie mit der flachen Hand die Folie auf der Scheibe an bis
sie paßgenau anliegt. Zeichnen Sie mit dem wasserlöslichen Faser stift die ausstattungs- bzw. fertigungsbedingten Ausschnitte auf der
Folie an. Nehmen Sie die Folie von der Scheibe und schneiden Sie
den Ausschnitt auf einer geeigneten Unterlage mit beiliegendem
Cuttermesser oder einer haushaltsüblichen Schere aus. Schneiden
Sie keinesfalls auf der Scheibe, Sie könnten Schneidespuren
(Kratzer) hinterlassen.
Bitte vor Montage die Passgenauigkeit der Folien an der
Scheibenaußenseite überprüfen. Fahrzeugbedingt kann es nötig
sein, umlaufende Verkleidungsteile der Heckscheibeneinfassung zu
entfernen – Achtung: gehen Sie hierbei vorsichtig vor, damit keine
Halteclipse beschädigt werden.

Reinigen der Scheibe
Hinweis: Reinigen Sie vor Montagebeginn Ihre Hände
gründlich, damit diese schmutz- und fettfrei sind! Benutzen Sie nur das beigefügte Montage-/Reinigungsmittel
JOY. Keinesfalls aggressive Reinigungsmittel (Bremsenreiniger, Waschbenzin etc.) verwenden!
A nmischen der Reinigungs-/Montagef lüssigkeit
(Bild 1)
Mischen Sie in einer Wassersprühflasche ca. 0,5 Liter destilliertes
Wasser mit mit einem Drittel des JOY Flascheninhaltes (8ml).
2Reinigen der Glasscheiben (Bild 2)
Vorreinigung der Scheibe: Entfernen Sie feinen Schmutz mit Montageflüssigkeit und Papiertüchern. Reinigen Sie immer nur in eine
Richtung: von der Scheibenoberkante zur Scheibenunterkante. Besprühen Sie mehrmalig die Innen- und Außenseiten sämtlicher
Scheiben, die beschichtet werden sollen, mit der Reinigungs-/Montageflüssigkeit JOY. Reinigen Sie dann mit einem Mikrofasertuch das
Glas, die Gummidichtungen und die Rahmen aller Scheiben. Achten
Sie darauf, dass alles völlig fettfrei wird. Durch die Schaumbildung
ist dies sehr gut möglich. Hartnäckige Rückstände auf dem Glas
entfernen Sie mit einer Schab-Rasierklinge. (Achtung bei Scheiben
mit Scheibenheizung oder Scheibenantenne: Um die Drähte nicht zu
beschädigen darf hier keine Schab-Rasierklinge verwendet werden).
Auch hierbei ist die Reinigungsrichtung von der Scheibenober- zur
Scheibenunterkante. Zum Trocknen der Gummis und Fensterkanten
ein sauberes Baumwolltuch verwenden.
ANPASSEN DER FOLIE AUF SCHEIBENAUSSENSEITE
Anpassen der Folie (Bild 3) vor der Montage
Kontrollieren Sie die Paßgenauigkeit der Folie (s. ”Fertigungsbedingte Abweichungen des Glases”). Bitte beachten Sie, dass bei
Kurbelfenstern die PROSHAPE-Folie links und rechts unter die Fensterführung und unter den Abstreifgummi der Scheibe geschoben
werden muss. Besprühen Sie die Außenseite der Scheibe, an der
Sie beginnen, mit der Reinigungs-/Montageflüssigkeit. Nehmen
Sie die vorgeschnittene Folie mit der Ihnen zugewandten Schutzfolienseite auf, spannen diese mit den Händen und legen sie auf
die feuchte Scheibenaußenseite und mitteln Sie die Folie aus. Die
Schutzfolie bitte noch nicht abziehen! Besprühen Sie die Folie erneut
mit Reinigungs-/Montageflüssigkeit, und schieben Sie danach die
Flüssigkeit mit der flachen Hand weg. Bilden Sie hierbei ein ”optisches H”. Die Zwischenräume zwischen dem H-Mittelsteg werden
jeweils nach oben und unten weggerakelt.
Befeuchten Sie mit der Montageflüssigkeit die Außenseite der
Scheibe. Legen Sie die Folie mit der klaren Schutzfolie nach oben
auf die zu beschichtende Scheibe auf (der Prüfstempel muß auf
der Scheibe aufliegen und seitenrichtig lesbar sein!)

4Besprühen der Scheibeninnenseite mit der Reinigungs-/
Montageflüssigkeit JOY (Bild 4)
Arbeiten Sie mit viel Montageflüssigkeit, damit die Folie auf dem
Wasserfilm gleiten kann. So wird Ihnen die Positionierung der
Folie erleichtert.
5Abziehen der Schutzfolie (Bild 5)
Hinweis: Reinigen Sie vor diesem Montageschritt
Ihre Hände gründlich, damit diese schmutz- und
fettfrei sind!
Kleben Sie zwei Klebebandstreifen (z.B. Kreppband) an Ober- und
Unterseite der oberen Ecke der Folie an und ziehen Sie dann
langsam die Schutzfolie mit Gegenzug komplett ab. Besprühen Sie
beim Abziehen der Schutzfolie die Klebeschicht der Autoglasfolie
ebenfalls großzügig mit der Montageflüssigkeit. Somit wird ein
Zusammenkleben und dadurch entstehende Falten etc. verhindert.
Greifen Sie nicht in die Klebeschicht, damit Fingerabdrücke ver mieden werden. Die Klebeseite der Folie wird an die Innenseite der
Scheibe geklebt.
6Positionieren auf der Scheibeninnenseite (Bild 6)
Fassen Sie die nun feuchte Folie an den beiden oberen Ecken.
Achten Sie dabei auf etwas Spannung, damit keine Folienpartien
miteinander in Kontakt kommen und verkleben. Bringen Sie die
gespannte Folie vorsichtig in das Innere Ihres Fahrzeugs und positionieren Sie die Folie dort mit der feuchten Seite auf der ebenfalls
angefeuchteten Innenseite der Scheibe. Die Folie zieht sich dort
selbsttätig an das Glas. Auf dem Wasserfilm kann die Folie nun
durch Schieben in die gewünschte Position gebracht werden.
7Ausrakeln der Feuchtigkeit (Bild 7)
Sprühen Sie die Folie großzügig mit Montageflüssgkeit ein. Bilden
Sie ein ”optisches H”. Rakeln Sie die Flüssigkeit nach oben und
unten aus. Halten Sie dabei den Anpressdruck so gleichmäßig als
möglich. Es muss so lange gerakelt werden, bis die Feuchtigkeit
restlos entfernt ist und die Folie blasen- und faltenfrei anliegt.
Sollten sich doch Falten bilden, so können diese mit Hilfe eines
Haarföns beseitigt werden. Arbeiten Sie jedoch nur mit der
schwächsten Wärmestufe (ca. 250 - 300°C), da die Folie leicht
verbrennen kann.
8Entfernen der Wasserreste im Scheibenrandbereich
(Bild 8)
Die ausgerakelte Feuchtigkeit läuft zur unteren Scheibendichtung.
Wenn Sie das Rakel mit dem Baumwolltuch umwickeln, können Sie
die Wasserreste im umlaufenden Scheibenrand sehr gut aufnehmen.
Trocknen Sie diesen Bereich abschließend mit einem
Haarfön.
Das sollten Sie auSSerdem noch wissen:
• D ie ideale Verarbeitungstemperatur von FOLIATEC® Autoglasfolie
liegt zwischen 15 °C und 25 °C. Arbeiten Sie wind- und
staubgeschützt, ohne direkte Sonneneinstrahlung und am besten
in einem geschlossenen Raum.
• S ie können sicher sein: Die Funktion von FOLIATEC® Autoglasfolie
wird durch Einschalten der Heckscheibenheizung nicht beeinträchtigt.
• V erwenden Sie für die Montage der Autoglasfolie ausschließlich das
FOLIATEC®-Montageflüssigkeit JOY. Keine Verwendung anderer
Montage-/Reinigungsmittel.
• B ringen Sie die Folie nur an der Fensterinnenseite an und nur auf
Echtglas. Bei Acryl- und Plexiglas kann der Kleber eventuell das
Material angreifen. Kunststoffgläser (Acryl, Plexi,etc.) enthalten
spezielle Weichmacher, die durch Temperatureinwirkungen (Wärme)
oder UV-Strahlung in Form von Luftbläschen freigesetzt werden
können. Diese können nur bedingt durch die Autoglasfolie entweichen, was u.U. Auswirkungen auf Haftung und Haltbarkeit dieser
hat.
•
Bei Scheibenantennen (z.B. für GPS, Radio etc.), die an einer mit
metallisierter Autoglasfolie (z.B. MIDNIGHT-REFLEX) beschichteten
Fahrzeugscheibe angebracht sind, können Funktionseinschränkun
gen auftreten.
• Die Funktion der Heckscheibenheizung wird nicht beeinträchtigt.
•
Bei etwaigem Entfernen von Autoglasfolien bitte beachten, dass
durch “ruckartiges” Abziehen Heiz- oder Antennendrähte, die an
den Fahrzeugscheiben angebracht sind, beschädigt werden können.
Durch Erwärmung der Folie erleichtern Sie das Abziehen. Zum
Entfernen der Kleberreste den FOLIATEC KLEBER-Entferner Art.Nr.
2250 verwenden.
•
Montage-Tipp bei Scheiben mit Punkt-Raster: Bei Fahrzeugscheiben
mit gerastertem Randbereich (z.B. schwarze Punkte) empfehlen
wir, die Folie unter Verwendung des Haarföns und des Rakels
nachzuarbeiten bis die Restfeuchtigkeit komplett verschwunden ist,
da es in diesem Bereich ansonsten zu Einschränkungen der Haftfähigkeit kommen kann.

behind the B - column so as not to impair the vision of the driver.
• The ABG - registration number located on the film (ABG: General
Design Certification) must be visible at least once on each tinted
window after application.
The PROSHAPE film is cut to size to meet the respective situation,
whereby the largest area must be covered. It may be necessary to
cut the film to size due to possible deviations as mentioned above
and does not constitute a reason for complaint (see figure a). Please
check the exact fit of the film on the exterior of the window prior to
application. Depending on the vehicle, it may be necessary to remove surrounding paneling parts of the rear window casing – Caution:
Make sure not to damange any fastening clips.
• If the vehicle has a rear window brake light, it is not allowed to
cover it with the film. Cut out the car window film accordingly.

• It is not permitted to connect the film with the window casing
nor apply under the rubber packing.
• The car window film may only be applied on the rear window
if the vehicle has two outside mirrors (left and right).
Every car window film package from FOLIATEC includes application
tools and an ABG - registration certification. Keep the General Design
Certification in the glove compartment of your vehicle as proof of
verification if needed. An entry in the registration of the vehicle by
the Technical Inspection Board is not necessary.

CLEANING THE WINDOW
Note: Thoroughly clean your hands so that they are
free of dirt and grease prior to starting the application!
Use only the JOY assembly/cleaning agent provided.
On no account should aggressive cleaning agents
(brake cleaner, petroleum ether etc.) be used!
Mixing the cleaning/application liquid (Fig. 1)
In the spray bottle mix approx. 0.5 liter water with one third
(8 ml) of JOY.
2Cleaning the glass (Fig. 2)
Pre-cleaning the window: remove fine particles of dirt with application fluid and paper towels. Always clean in one direction only:
from the top of the window to the bottom of the window. Spray
several times the inside and outside of the glass to be covered
using the cleaning/application liquid. With a cloth clean the glass,
the rubber sea and the frames of all the windows. The foam makes
this quite possible to make sure that they are totally free of oil.
Remove any stubborn residues with a razor blade. (Precaution for
windows with defogger or antenna: Do not use a razor blade to
scrape the window to avoid damage to the wires). Use the
squeegee to dry the cleaned glass. Using a cotton cloth wipe the
edge of the squeegee after every pass. Here, too, you should clean
in one direction, namely from the top to the bottom of the window.
Use a clean cotton cloth to dry the rubber and frames.

VARIATIONS IN THE GLASS DUE TO MANUFACTURE
Vehicle manufacturers sometimes work with different glass
suppliers. These produce windows with different properties for the
respective vehicle type. This has an affect on the following in particular:
• The border grid of the window (surrounding black point
edge) may differ in width according to the manufacturer of the
windowpane.
•
Depending on the supplier, the third brake light can vary in
size or be in different positions. Brake lights that are an integral
part of the vehicle design must not be covered with Automotive
Window Film, the shape of the lights must be cut out of the film.
• Depending on the supplier, the connections for the rear
windscreen heater can be in different positions. The PRO SHAPE film is pre-cut to fit the largest area that has to be covered.
This means that the film may have to be cut to fit your vehicle
exactly.
• Vent windows at the side have fastening points - on the
window.
ADJUSTING THE FILM FROM OUTSIDE
Fitting the film (illustration 3) prior to the
application.
Check the fit of the film (see „Variations in the glass due to
manufacture”). Please note that for wind-down windows the
PROSHAPE film must be pushed down at the right and left under
the window guides and under the window‘s rubber strip. Spray
the outside of the window you are beginning with using the
cleaning/application liquid. Lift the precut film with the protective film side facing you, spread it out with your hands and place
it on the wet exterior side of the window and center the film. Do
not remove the protective backing! Spray the film again with
application/cleaning liquid and then use the squeegee to wipe
away the liquid.Imagine the shape of an „H”. From the middle
bar of the H, scrape upwards or downwards respectively.
• Rear windscreens may have windscreen wiper fittings.
Fitting the film in vehicles with a third brake light
or hinged side windows.
•
Other equipment features, which differ from the
standard equipment. Furthermore it may be necessary to cut the
PROSHAPE film to size, for example with re-imports or after an
accident necessitated window replacement. In exceptional cases
there can be variances with re-imports, special editions and after
Moisten the outside of the window with the application fluid.
Place the film on the window with the clear protective film up
permost (the inspection stamp has to lie on the window and be
readable from the right side!). Smooth the film onto the window
with the palm of the hand until it lies correctly. With the watersoluble felt pen, draw around the equipment cut-outs or cut-out
variations resulting from manufacture. Remove the film from the
window, place the film on a suitable underlay and use the enclosed
knife or standard household scissors to cut out the section marked.
You must not use the window as underlay, since this could leave
marks or scratches.
APPLYING THE FILM FROM THE INSIDE
4Spray the inside of the window with cleaning/
application liquid. (Fig. 4)
Use a lot of application fluid so that the film can slide on the
film of water. This will make it easy to position the film.
5Remove the protective backing (Fig. 5)
Note: Thoroughly clean your hands so that they are
free of dirt and grease prior to this step of
application!
Put two pieces of adhesive tape on the inside and outside of the upper corner of the film and using these as “handles“
slowly pull the backing away from the film. When removing
the protective film, also spray the adhesive layer of the
Automotive Window Film generously with the application liquid.
This prevents the film from sticking together and thus creasing.
To avoid fingerprints, do not touch the adhesive layer. The
adhesive side of the film that will be attached to the window in
the next step.
6Positioning the film on the inside of the window.
(Fig. 6)
Take hold of the wet film by the corners. Keep some tension on
the film so that no two parts come in contact and stick. Care fully take the film into the vehicle and position the film on the
window with the wet side of the film on the inside of the window
(which is also wet). The film will draw itself onto the glass.
As a result of the film of water, the film can now be moved into
the desired position.
7Working the moisture out (Fig. 7)
Spray the film liberally with application liquid. Imagine the
shape of an „H”. From the middle bar of the H, scrape upwards
or downwards respectively. Try to keep the pressure as even as
possible. Work with the squeegee until all the moisture is out
from under the film and the film is free of bubbles and wrinkles.
If you find that the film still creases, you can remove the creases
with a hairdryer. However, always use the lowest setting
(250°C - 300°C ) as the film can burn easily.
8Removing moisture around the frame (Fig. 8)
The moisture will flow towards the lower window seal as you
work. Use a cotton cloth to absorb this. If you wrap the squeegee
in the cotton cloth, you can get the water around the frame
very well. Use a hair dryer to dry this area as the last step.
YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW:
•
The ideal temperature for working with FOLIATEC Automotive
Window Film is between 15°C and 25°C. Work in an area
protected from wind and dust, without direct sunlight and,
ideally, in an enclosed area.
• Apply the film only to the inside of the glass and only to real
glass. The adhesive can damage acrylic and Plexiglas over a
period of time.
• Y ou can be sure: FOLIATEC Automotive Window Film function will
not be affected by using the defroster.
• T o affix Automotive Window Films, use only FOLIATEC‘s lubricating
and cleaning fluid concentrate JOY. Do not use other materials
for this purpose.
Synthetic glass (acrylic, plexi, etc.) contains special softeners
that, as a result of temperature (heat) or UV radiation, are released
in the form of air bubbles. These bubbles can only escape
through the Automotive Window Film to a limited extent and
this can affect, amongst other things, adhesion and service life.
• Before starting to fit the film, please wash your hands to ensure
that they are clean and free from grease.
• The heated rear window is not affected.
• Window antennas (e.g. for GPS, radio, etc.) that are mounted
on vehicle windows coated with metallized Automotive Window
Film (e.g. MIDNIGHT REFLEX) may be subject to restrictions in
function.
• If removing Automotive Window Film, please do so gently,
„jerky“ removal may cause damage to any heating or antenna
wires attached to the vehicle windows. By heating the film, you
will make it easier to remove it. To remove the residual adhesive,
use the FOLIATEC adhesive remover (Remover Solvent) art. no.
2250.
•
Tip for usage on windows with dotted surround: When applying
Automotive Window Film to vehicle windows with dotted
surround (e.g. black dots) we recommend cutting the film
along the third row of dots. There may be lack of adhesion
beyond this row.
CAUTION:
Relevant for metallized films:
There exists the possibility that direct sunlight refraction at a certain
angle on the film covered interior side of the window (e.g. with open
tailgate or car door etc.) may reflect the sunlight and cause a focusing
of the rays (burning glass effect) due to the concave form of the
window. Under certain unfavorable conditions, the surface (depending
on material) on which the “bundled” light ray is focused may get
unusually hot, possibly be charred or ignite!
CARE:
• D o not wind down or clean windows coated with Automotive
Window Film for the first 7 days to allow the adhesive to dry
fully.
• O nly use clear water (without cleaning additives) and a
Window Films).
• The grid area should be smoothed several times with the
blade to improve adhesion.
