INTRODUCTION
Every year approximately 48,000 women in the UK will be told by their
docto that they have breast cancer. One in nine women will be diagnosed
with the disease during their lifetime. The incidence of breast cancer in the
UK has risen by 80% over the last three decades and continues to rise.

At Breast Cancer Hope we are committed to changing this picture of the
future. Through high quality research to improve the early detection,
treatment, and prevention of the disease, we strive to improve the quality of
life and give hope to thousands of women (and men) diagnosed with breast
cancer.

The charity’s president is Prof. Kefah Mokbel, Consultant Breast and
Endocrine Surgeon at St George’s and the Princess Grace Hospitals, and
Professor at the Brunel Institute of Cancer Pharmacogenomics, who is a
leading expert in the field of breast cancer.

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)
a) Beyond any fence or hedge bounding the course. b) Beyond the white stakes left of the 1st,
2nd, 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th holes. c) Beyond the white stakes to the right of
the 13th and 17th holes whilst playing those holes.
d) The Driving Range, Clubhouse, Car Park and Paddock behind the 18th green as marked by
white stakes.
2. WATER HAZARDS (Rule26)
a) Water hazards are defined by yellow stakes. b) Lateral water hazards are defined by red
stakes.
3. STAKED TREES (rule 24-2)
If a staked or guyed tree or shrub interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing,
the ball MUST be lifted and dropped within one clubs-length of the nearest point of relief. The
ball may be cleaned when so lifted.
4.MOVABLE OBSTRUCTION (Rule 24)
Stones in bunkers and black and white marked posts are movable obstructions
(Rule 24-1 applies).
5. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24)
All fixed sprinkler heads/drainage covers/ball washers/bins/life rings ad mountings/150 yard
marker stones/warning triangles and white stakes to the right of the 14th and 15th fairway and
steps in bunker behind 17th green are deemed immovable obstructions and relief may be taken
under Rule 24-2. In addition, if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and an
immovable obstruction on or within two clubs-lengths of the putting green and within two
clubs-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player
may take relief as allowed under Rule 24-2.
6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 25-1)
All areas indicated by G.U.R. Notices and or bounded by white lines or blue stakes.
Play is PROHIBITED in such areas. . Relief MUST be taken under Rule 25-1.
Relief may be taken from tractor ruts and any drainage work which interferes with a player’s
stance or lie of the ball.
7. INTEGRAL PARTS OF THE COURSE.
The safety fence at the 14th hole and the sleeper wall at the 9th teeing area are deemed to be
integral parts of the course. The ball should be played as it lies or declared unplayable under
Rule 28.
8. EMBEDDED BALL.
Any ball embedded in its own pitch mark in any ROUGH area may be rolled out by up to one
circumference of the ball not nearer the hole . The ball MAY NOT be cleaned.
9. CLUB ETIQUETTE RULE.
Golfers MUST NOT enter neighbouring land to retrieve golf balls.
10. DISTANCE-MEASURING DEVICES (Rule 14-3)
In all competitions at this course, a player may obtain distance information by using a device
that measures distance only. Penalty for breach of this rule is disqualification.
PENALTY OF BREACH OF LOCAL RULE:
Match Play - Loss of Hole; Stroke Play - Two Strokes.
