NAVIGATORS NOTES
Faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
(James 2:17)
Our works don’t earn us salvation. However, we
make our love of God visible through the things we
do. As I reflect back on the past several months as
your Faithful Navigator, I am grateful for the works
that have been done by our assembly officers and
members.
It is through our charitable actions we live out our
faith. Changed by what we have experienced, we
find ourselves becoming more generous and
selfless. This self-giving in turn nourishes our love
for God and our desire to be with him, so we return
to him in prayer and thanksgiving. It’s not talking
about faith but showing it in the way you live!
Let us pray;
“Thank you, Father, for the gift of faith! Draw us
closer to you so that our faith makes itself known in
every choice we make and every word we speak."

CAPTAINS NOTES
I would like to thank the entire membership for
their use of our web site to request Honor Guards.
This has allowed me to get updates posted in a
timely manner. Our Webmaster has been very
responsive to our requests and this is much
appreciated. Working with the Commanders has
been a pleasure, the interaction and cooperation
amongst them to cover the requested events is great.
It is my hope that as we move forward that our
member Councils and their Captains look for
opportunities to participate in Community Activities
in there area to show our presence and participation.
This will help the Order grow and our Assembly to
flourish.

NEW COUNCIL
The Dr. Thomas A Dooley Assembly welcomes the
newest Council in the Area. The Vietnamese Parish
of Queenship of Mary in Glendale Heights is
located at the corner of Bloomingdale Rd. and
Armitage. They have named their Council #15806
“Cardinal Francis Xavier Nguyen Van Thuan”.
We look forward to helping with their growth and
development. Installation of Officers is scheduled
for May 4th and will take place during the 11am
Mass. An Honor Guard has been requested and
many State Knights of Columbus dignitaries will be
present. Congratulations Council 15806!

OFFICERS FOR THE 2014-2015
FRATERNAL YEAR.
The installation of officer’s for the 2014-2015
Fraternal Year will take place on Sunday June 29th
2014 at Saint Matthews Church, 1555 Glen Ellyn
Rd Glendale Heights IL. The order of the day will
be as follows:
• 8am Mass at St Matthews. This is also the
Councils corporate Communion. Honor
Guard Requested.
• 9am Installation of officers in Hurley Hall at
St Matthews.
• 10 am Brunch at KI’S Restaurant 705 North
Ave Glendale Heights IL cost is $15.
