New Year, New Products!
Now the Christmas rush is over, it seems like a great
opportunity to reflect on our first full year in business - Nick
and I would love to say a huge thank you for your support in
2013. We've been overwhelmed by the positive comments
we've received via the website, twitter and of course at the
many Free From events we attend. We're already looking forward to 2014, which promises to be
an exciting year for all of us here at Voakes Free From. We've
lots of new products in development, lots of shows planned
and loads of goodies to give away - more details are included
in this newsletter and via the mail-order website,

Meet the Voakes Family
The Voakes family have farmed at Whixley Grange in North
Yorkshire for three generations. Today, the farm is home to
our lovely herd of high health pigs, several dogs and a pony
called Kristalle. Voakes Free From:

All the pigs here are reared under the careful eye of Grandad
Voakes and Uncle James, who have decades of farming
experience between them. The pigs used in our pies are
reared exclusively here at Whixley Grange. This means we
can be confident that the ingredients used in Voakes Free
From pies are of the highest quality. This commitment to
quality ingredients, along with generations of food
manufacturing experience, is what makes Voakes Free From
Pies unique.
This photograph was taken recently at Grandad's 80th
birthday. All three generations of the family together at once
puts in to perspective our continued passion for producing
quality food. Along with Grandad is Nick's dad, Andrew.
Andrew is a master butcher and the driving force behind our
sister company, Voakes Pies. He is also four-times supreme
pork pie champion for Yorkshire, so Nick has a lot to live up
to - Nick is also seen here, enjoying a rare day off!
