CJLA Sanctioned Show. Entry Deadline – June 6 Entries are unlimited. There will be no refunds on entry fees. Late fee for Entries is $25/entry. CPPA reserves the right to refuse any entry. All hogs must be checked in by 10:30am on June 21. If exhibitor is late, a charge of $50/hour will be charged and may not be able to show. All exhibitors at the 2014 California Pork Spectacular must be a CPPA member in good standing, have a Premise ID, and PQA certified. Must be 21 years or younger as of January 1, 2014 JUNIOR JACKPOT SHOW 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Accepted weight range: max of 290 lbs. Official Weigh cards must be submitted to show management by 12noon on Saturday, June 2 1. A 15lb weigh back will be strictly enforced. Classes will be divided by weight. Show will be broken into a Prospect, Progress and Market Divisions. A top 5 will be selected for each division. The Supreme Drive will also award the top 5 animals exhibited at the show. Premiums: rd th i. Supreme Jackpot Hog: $500 and Belt Buckle, Reserve Supreme: $400, 3 Overall: $300, 4 Overall: $200, and th 5 Overall: $100. ii. Division Champions will be awarded engraved/embroidered awards. st nd rd th th iii. Class Winners: 1 $50; 2 : $40; 3 , 4 , and 5 : $10 Show Gift Card This is NOT a terminal show. California Bred & Fed (CBF) division 1. 2. 3. 4. Must indicate on the entry form that hog is qualified for CBF division. The top 2 California Bred & Fed (CBF) hogs will be selected out of each class to determine the Champion and Reserve CBF in each division. An overall Supreme CBF will also be selected. All CBF entries are to provide a receipt of their purchase from a California breeder upon check-‐in. Failure to provide a receipt will disqualify the animal from this division. If the show management should question the origin of the animal, further documentation may be required from the breeder (litter sheet, photos, etc). Any exhibitor found to fraudulently enter their hog into this division will be disqualified with no refund of entry fees and be banned from any further participation in CPPA sponsored events. California Bred & Fed Division You are eligible to enter this division if you have purchased your pig from a California breeder, and you have fed and raised your pig in California. Don’t forget to enter this division, for a chance to win additional premiums! Premiums & Awards! Thousands of dollars will be awarded as premium money! CBF Supreme Champion will be awarded an Exiss Popper. Fantastic awards will be presented! CPPA Junior Board Election & Quiz Bowl CPPA JR members will have the opportunity to apply for the CPPA Junior Board. This Board will be actively involved with the planning of future JR activities.
