2. Crime Report. Constable Davina Lindsay gave the monthly crime
report. Generally low level of crime, mainly shoplifting, minor
traffic and drug offences. Inspector Neil Smith now has overall
responsibility for community policing in Alexandria and
Dumbarton. Inspector David MacKinnon has been replaced by Sgt
Craig Taylor, supervisor for community policing in Dumbarton
There is now a national number to call 101 for non-urgent matters.
999 remains the number for urgent matters.

3. Minutes of last meeting. Accepted as correct, proposed by
Dorothy, seconded by Wilma
4. Matters arising from minutes.
 Rosemary Cairns, visitor, raised again the question of
breaches of security at Crosslet House. The police and WDC
Councillors will all address this.
 Local buses – still complaints about poor time-keeping for
local buses.
 Flooding at Crosslet Road, is being addressed by flood
prevention scheme.
5. Correspondence.
Letter from WDC informing the public that a new slip road is
being proposed from the B814 by St. James Park entrance into
Castle Street. Map shown, generally agreed this is a good idea, so
no comments at present.
6. There was no treasurer’s report in the absence of the treasurer.
Bank balance £2116.
Agreed to order and pay for a community notice board for
Dumbarton Central station. This will be re-imbursed by john
Yellowlees, Adopt-a-station.
7. There were no planning matters.
8. A.O.C..B.
 Community Council Forum. Due to low turn-out at last
meeting there was no quorum, discussion, or decisions.
The Forum AGM will be on Thursday 19th June in the
Municipal Buildings (date arranged since minutes recorded)
 Community Council AGM This will be on Thursday 8 th
May.
Please note, there are two vacancies for community
councillors, all councillors are urged to ask friends and
neighbours if they are interested.
 Secretary reported that a resident of Netherbog Road had
reported a complaint by another resident in Netherbog Road,
behind Dumbarton Academy, about noise and balls over
fences during the East football camp. No other complaints
had been made. After discussion with the WDC councillors,
it was agreed that this was not, at present, a matter for the
community council.
 Secretary reported that Dumbarton East and Central CC no
longer wish to organise a Gala Day this year, but plans
would be made in the autumn for a Gala Day next year.
 Question asked about responsibility for pavement cleaning.
WDC are responsible.
 Linda asked about pavement parking, Secretary will send
leaflet explaining the law (and loophole.)
