A note from The Head Teacher
A very warm welcome to all our new pupils, parents/carers and staff. I trust that
the transition to Friars Academy has been smooth as the students now move
towards greater independence and their next steps to the future.
We are extremely proud of all of the pupils at Friars Academy and how we present
ourselves within the local community. Could I politely request that we maintain
our high standards by arriving in full school uniform including shoes, and that
pupils do not have extreme hairstyles such as very closely shaved and/or lines or
unnatural hair colours as these are not appropriate for school.
May I take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. Please do not
hesitate to make contact with the Academy if you have any concerns. It is
important that we all work together to support the futures of our children.
Thank you
Mrs Ijewsky

Year 8 and 9 pupils thoroughly
enjoyed a visit from Ian and Dan,
from Wellingborough Museum,
who came to tell them all about
World War 1. They learnt all about
the life of a soldier and were able
to see and hold a range of WW1
artefacts.
PGL Our Year 10 pupils and staff enjoyed another year at PGL.
