This service refers appropriate people into the Reablement service where it appears they may be eligible for services. Some people are referred directly to locality teams for full assessment, where Reablement would not be suitable. 4 The welfare rights service falls within this area. The service comprises of both community and bed based provision with an ethos of maximising independence along with the use of equipment and assistive technology to aid independent living. Progress recommendations for major adaptations, adapted re-housing and minor adaptations, as well as arranging the servicing and maintenance of lifts and ceiling track hoists installed in peoples own homes. 11
