Poa annua Assurance Program for non-overseeded

Poa annua Assurance Program for non-overseeded
fairways in the coastal South
The key to protecting your bermudagrass and zoysiagrass fairways from Poa annua is use of
a highly effective control program. Barricade,® Monument,® and Princep® Liquid herbicides can
provide outstanding efficacy when used as directed.
•B
arricade delivers excellent pre-emergence control with a long-lasting residual.
•P
rincep provides broad-spectrum, broadleaf winter weed control and excellent activity on
sensitive Poa annua, both pre-emergence and early post-emergence.
• Monument offers outstanding versatility for post-emergence control of Poa annua that Princep
Liquid may miss due to insensitive biotypes.
• Use at the prescribed timing and rates below to control Poa annua this winter.
•P
oa annua populations can develop resistance to herbicides when a single mode of
action is the only control strategy.
•T
ank-mixtures of herbicides with more than one mode of action that are effective on
Poa annua can significantly delay resistance development.
Here’s your Assurance:
•Follow the prescribed solution below on a minimum of 20 acres of Bermuda or Zoysiagrass on
your golf course per 18 holes (or 10 acres if on a nine-hole course) to qualify for the Assurance

as directed by the product label, contact your Syngenta territory manager immediately for analysis.
•Syngenta will provide the appropriate Syngenta product (Monument,® Reward,® Princep® Liquid,
or Departure® herbicides) required to control the remaining Poa annua.
• Claims must be filed by April 16, 2015, with a Syngenta territory manager.

Program Terms and Conditions
The minimum application area for golf courses is 20 acres per eighteen holes (or 10 acres if on a nine-hole course). Use of Barricade 65WG and Barricade 4FL
are permitted. User must follow prescribed guidelines herein regarding application rates and timing for the user’s region in order to qualify. All claims must
be submitted by April 16, 2015. Purchases of Qualifying Products must be made between July 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014 (“Qualifying Period”) from
an Authorized Syngenta Agent or Retailer. If you notify your Syngenta territory manager of a Poa annua breakthrough, your Syngenta territory manager will
investigate and, if warranted, supply Syngenta products for rescue treatment with a value not to exceed the value of the Barricade and Monument products
already purchased and applied by user on the applicable acreage this season. A “breakthrough” is defined as less than 90% Poa annua control as compared
to untreated areas of similar turf density, turf type, and environment. Syngenta’s determination as to whether 90% control exists will be final. Syngenta
retains the right to audit purchase records in assessing assurance claims. Syngenta will not pay for any application for rescue treatments. Syngenta reserves
the right to modify or discontinue this Assurance Program at any time without prior notice. The Assurance Program is offered in AL, FL, GA, SC, and TX only.
