A ONE-DAY MEETING OF UBEC MANAGEMENT WITH QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICERS AND SUBEB/UBEB DIRECTORS OF QUALITY ASSURANCE FROM THE 36 STATES AND FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY The Commission, in its effort to ensure effective and efficient Quality Assurance Evaluation (QAE) practice in basic education institutions, has organised a 1-day meeting involving all the Directors of Quality Assurance from the 36 States and FCT, UBEC Zonal and State Coordinators and all the UBEC Quality Assurance Officers to strategize and discuss issues concerning quality assurance in Basic Education with UBEC Management, especially the training of Quality Assurance Officers. The objectives of the meeting will include the following: Discussion on regular capacity building for UBEC, SUBEB and LGEA QA Officers. Funding of Quality Assurance activities in the 2015 budget. Strategizing on modalities for effective conduct of quality assurance by SUBEBs and LGEAs. The meeting is scheduled to take place as follows: Venue: Idrinana Hotels, No 1, Idrinana Close, Phase II, Lokoja Arrival: Wednesday, 15th October, 2014 Meeting: Thursday, 16th October, 2014 Departure: Friday, 17th October, 2014.
