Venturi Loader
NMS-114
The Venturi hopper loader’s compact,
lightweight and simple design makes it ideal to
install in a wide range of applications, such as
removable hoppers on WSB Micro Blenders,
WSB Micro Plus and removable hoppers on
“R” series blenders.
The loader is suitable for conveying granular
naturals, additives and dusty regrinds due to
the integrated exhaust filter.
Operation
The loader operates by creating a vacuum with
a supply of compressed air. The compressed
air creates an air flow which pulls material over
a local distance of 3 meters to feed throughputs up to 70 Kg/hr with the supplied standard length hose and probe.
The operation is controlled by an adjustable
level sensor mounted to the Pyrex Feed tube
below the loader, ensuring an efficient process
overall for small throughput applications. Once
the hopper is loaded, the Venturi tops up small
amounts often for efficient operation. A visual
no load alarm is standard. The Pyrex Tube also
allows users to easily view current operation
and load status. The loader lid opens by releasing two quick release latches and the user
then has rapid access to the large cartridge
filter and screen, as well as the loader body for
easy cleaning.
NMS-240 Mounting Bracket
The optional NMS-240 mounting bracket allows for the automatic loading of AWF auger
feeders.
The bracket attaches to the side of the WSB
hopper and a flexible hose feeds the
material into the AWF
hopper. This is easily disconnected for
hopper removal and
cleaning.

Maguire hopper loaders have been designed
and implemented in order to satisfy different
production requirements of plastic materials
manufacturers.
Representing an easy solution to convey automatically plastic granules into extruders, IMM,
blow moulding machines, drying hoppers and
dosing units.
Standard features:
• 900W double-stage (side-channel)
motor, equipped with start-soft control,
(VLM 25 is fitted with 1800W brushless
blower to motor)
• Automatic filter cleaning (air-blast): filter
cleaning is provided through a compressed-air
accumulator
• Magnetic level sensor

• Control box for the setup of the hopper
loader and of the pneumatic ratio valve

and distance. Fitted with a large polyester filter
and cyclone design for a good dust separation.

LDM-TMM 3-phase
hopper loaders
Maguire stand alone 3-phase hopper loaders
and systems, LDM-TMM series, are used for
conveying plastic granules to extruders, injection moulding and blow moulding machines
with medium to large and systems capacities.
They are suitable for machine feeding with
throughput up to 5000 kg/h.
In 3-phase hopper loaders the vacuum blower
is separated from the material vacuum receiver, which is equipped with a tissue or metal
mesh filter.
The glass version for better visibility is equip-
ped with an external adjustable level sensor
and allow a better material visibility.

For Dried Materials there is a range of insulated models to maintain a consistent temperature of dried material prior to consumption by
the process machine.

Loading System
The Clear-Vu® Loading System provides all the
benefits of a mini-central system with the added convenience of portability and low maintenance.
AVR-1 Mini Receiver is
ideal for loading small
hoppers and bins.

Reduction of clogging
Clogging is reduced with a patented deceleration chamber that facilitates separation of
material from the air stream and a fast-action
slide-gate that prevents pellet entrapment during material discharge.
Low wear and maintenance
The stainless steel blast plate that deflects material into the receiver is replaceable. The system uses only a single, brushless motor and
receivers have no filters to clog.
Ready access for cleanout
The top cover of the receiver includes the vacuum valve, material inlet and cleanout port.
The dust collector features a bag type filter
with blow-back and a hinged pivot tray for easy
removal.

Centralised Conveying
System Applications
Centralised feeding systems are ideal for conveying automatically plastics raw materials to
production, especially when the conveying distance from storage to production is long.
Conveying of granule materials are provided
through a series of rigid pipe lines, connected
to a centralised vacuum pump or pumps,
equipped with dedicated central filter. These
systems have been designed to meet customer’s expectations and to work with plastic
granules with a wide range of sizes and densities, and also include materials such as
flakes and/or regrind materials, with throughputs up to 5000 Kg/h. The optional “MMS”
(material speed control) device enhances conveying optimising conveying speed for each
type of plastic granule, avoiding formation of
angel hair, wear of pipes and abrasion / damage of materials causing for example powders.
In addition, Maguire’s experience can offer
specific solutions for conveying high temperature materials, providing consistent performance for materials that have been dried.
