Anseye Pou Ayiti Advisory Board

Nedgine Paul is the co-founder & CEO of Anseye Pou Ayiti (Teach For Haiti), which seeks to raise
education outcomes in rural Haiti by promoting teacher excellence and student success. She has
experience in the non-profit sector with an emphasis on promoting equal educational opportunities
for all children. Originally from Haiti, Nedgine moved to the U.S. at a young age and maintained
ongoing leadership roles in community service and youth development programs, particularly within
the Haitian community of Stamford and Norwalk, CT. Her previous roles at Achievement First, the
Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, and WorldTeach included opportunities to manage recruitment,
staff orientation, tutoring, and governance duties, as well as the development of a school principal
residency program. Nedgine worked with Partners In Health to manage onboarding, benefits, and workforce planning
for the organization’s transnational teams—as well as co-developed and facilitated management trainings for over 150
staff, primarily in Haiti. She has conducted teacher training seminars and extensive research about the historical,
cultural, and socioeconomic factors contributing to Haiti’s school system. Nedgine earned a B.A. in History from Yale
College and an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2014, she
was named among the top global social innovators by Echoing Green. She is passionate about joining forces with others
to continue pursuing her deep commitment to the expansion of high-quality educational opportunity in Haiti.
Chananjah Lamy is the Director of Recruitment with Anseye Pou Ayiti. Originally from northern
Haiti where she completed her schooling, she packed her bags for university studies in the
Dominican Republic and then France. Upon returning to Haiti and after a short period in the private
sector, she preferred to work with humanitarian organizations for the past ten years and live
according to her life’s philosophy of “serving the most vulnerable.” Through various positions in the
field of Human Resources with SOS Children’s Villages, CARE Haiti, and Zanmi Lasante,
Chananjah has put into practice this philosophy which brings her such satisfaction in the workforce.
Lover of nature, sports, reading, and music, Chananjah enjoys every day she can live in the country
she loves so much and participate in the building of a new Haiti.
