Nedgine Paul is the co-founder & CEO of Anseye Pou Ayiti (Teach For Haiti), which seeks to raise education outcomes in rural Haiti by promoting teacher excellence and student success. She has experience in the non-profit sector with an emphasis on promoting equal educational opportunities for all children. Originally from Haiti, Nedgine moved to the U.S. at a young age and maintained ongoing leadership roles in community service and youth development programs, particularly within the Haitian community of Stamford and Norwalk, CT. Her previous roles at Achievement First, the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, and WorldTeach included opportunities to manage recruitment, staff orientation, tutoring, and governance duties, as well as the development of a school principal residency program. Nedgine worked with Partners In Health to manage onboarding, benefits, and workforce planning for the organization’s transnational teams—as well as co-developed and facilitated management trainings for over 150 staff, primarily in Haiti. She has conducted teacher training seminars and extensive research about the historical, cultural, and socioeconomic factors contributing to Haiti’s school system. Nedgine earned a B.A. in History from Yale College and an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2014, she was named among the top global social innovators by Echoing Green. She is passionate about joining forces with others to continue pursuing her deep commitment to the expansion of high-quality educational opportunity in Haiti. Chananjah Lamy is the Director of Recruitment with Anseye Pou Ayiti. Originally from northern Haiti where she completed her schooling, she packed her bags for university studies in the Dominican Republic and then France. Upon returning to Haiti and after a short period in the private sector, she preferred to work with humanitarian organizations for the past ten years and live according to her life’s philosophy of “serving the most vulnerable.” Through various positions in the field of Human Resources with SOS Children’s Villages, CARE Haiti, and Zanmi Lasante, Chananjah has put into practice this philosophy which brings her such satisfaction in the workforce. Lover of nature, sports, reading, and music, Chananjah enjoys every day she can live in the country she loves so much and participate in the building of a new Haiti. Nadège Esterminé is the Director of Training with Anseye Pou Ayiti. She was born in Port-auPrince, where she completed her schooling and university studies. She earned her Master’s in Education Management and Training with CREFI in partnership with the University of St. Boniface in Winnipeg, Canada. With twelve years of experience in national and international institutions, including with Editions Henry Deschamps, École St. Jean l’Évangéliste, Plan International-Haiti, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), and Compassion International. Through various positions in the education sector as a teacher, pedagogical and community coach, trainer of trainers, and education project manager—across five departments in Haiti and in Kigali, Rwanda—Nadège has lived out her vision to enhance the teaching profession and foster excellence, success, and equity in Haitian communities. She is enthusiastic about joining the Anseye Pou Ayiti team to contribute to the rebuilding of our education system through its philosophy and passion stating that every child matters and is capable.
