Great idea for September … On 8/1/14, Kim DeHaan, decided it was finally time
to take off some of her extra weight. “I was physically tired and I didn’t like how my jeans were
fitting. I knew that I had to become more physically active. So for every 30 minutes that I sit at my
sewing machine, I walk two blocks.” Other changes that she has made include drinking more water, portion control, and no eating after 6pm at night. She shared that she misses breakfast from
McDonalds but she is looking forward to buying new clothes and watching her weight go down.
As of 8/25/14 she has lost 10.6 pounds. Her short term goal is 25 pounds. “My progress is slow
but I am going to stick-to-it and not give up”.
**During the month of September, challenge yourself to
walk two blocks for every 30 minutes of inactivity.**
