2014-2015 Early Bird Offer Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to the University of Salford Student Village
‘Early Bird Offer’ (‘Offer’).
1. In these terms and conditions, unless context is otherwise provided, the following
words are defined as follows:
University of Salford Student Village means University of Salford Student Village
located on the University of Salford campus, with the address of John Lester Court,
Meyrick Road, Salford, Manchester M6 5HE, UK;
License Agreement means a license agreement in respect of a room at any of John
Lester, Eddie Colman or Bramall Courts at the University of Salford Student Village for
the 2014/2015 academic year.
Double bed means a double bed, as provided by Salford Student Village, for use by
the appropriate Resident for the life of their applicable Licence Agreement. The bed
remains the property of Salford Student Village.
Entertainment Package means a television, as provided by Salford Student Village,
for use by the relevant Resident(s) for the life of the applicable Licence Agreement.
The television remains the property of Salford Student Village. This offer is also
inclusive of use of an entertainment package such as Netflix, LoveFilm, or similar, as
provided by Salford Student Village, for the life of the Licence Agreement. This offer
may be amended or cancelled at any time, at Salford Student Village’s absolute
discretion.
Reduction means a discount on rent payable under the Student’s License Agreement
equal to rental fees for the room type occupied by the Resident.
Resident means a Student who has entered into a License Agreement with University
of Salford Student Village.
Student means a student who is enrolled with the University of Salford.
2. This Offer only applies to Students who have paid a deposit and the first month’s
rent under the License Agreement by 01 March 2014.
3. The Offer commences at 9:00am on 24 December 2013 and closes at 5:00pm on
01 March 2014 (GMT) (“Offer Period”). This Offer will not be provided to any person
who enters into a License Agreement after the Offer Period.
4. For the Resident to be eligible for the Offer, the following conditions must be met to
the satisfaction of University of Salford Student Village:
4.1 Students must sign a License Agreement prior to 01 March 2014 for the
2014/2015 academic year to stay at John Lester, Eddie Colman or Bramall
Court on a 42 or 52 week length contract; and
4.2 Students must not terminate or have the License Agreement terminated
prior to the expiry of the term of the License Agreement.
5. The Offer consists of:
5.1 The reduction of weekly rent payable under the Resident’s License
Agreement by an amount equivalent to £4.00 GBP per week.
The reduction of weekly rental rate of £4.00 GBP is only applicable to qualifying
Residents in Standard rooms in Bramall Court, or rooms in standard 3 or 4
bedroom flats in John Lester / Eddie Colman Courts. The weekly discount is
applied as two cumulative credits against rental fees, one applicable in the first
week of December 2014 and the second applicable in the first week of May
2015.
OR
5.2 An upgrade to a double bed.
The upgrade to a double bed is only applicable to qualifying Residents in Large
or Extra Large rooms in Bramall Court, or rooms in 2 bedroom flats in John
Lester / Eddie Colman Courts. The provision of double bed by Salford Student
Village is for use by the applicable Resident during the life of their Licence
Agreement. Use of the double bed is subject to all normal rules and regulations
of the Village, as set out in the Licence Agreement and Village Rules. At the
end of the Licence Agreement, the double bed remains the property of Salford
Student Village, and residents are liable for any damage to the double bed
excepting normal wear and tear.
OR
5.3 A television and entertainment package available for the qualifying
Resident’s use whilst he/she remains a party to their License Agreement.
The television and entertainment package is only applicable to qualifying
Residents in rooms in 3 bed plus Lounge flats in John Lester / Eddie Colman
Courts. The provision of a television and subscription to an entertainment
package is as determined by Salford Student Village at its absolute discretion.
The television will be located in the flat communal lounge, and must remain
there unless express written permission to relocate it is given by Village
management. The television remains the property of Salford Student Village,
and use of the television and entertainments package is subject to all normal
rules and regulations of the Village, as laid out in the Licence Agreement and
Village Rules. At the end of the Licence Agreement, the television remains the
property of Salford Student Village, and Residents are liable for any damage to
the television, excepting normal wear and tear. Residents remain liable for the
purchase of an appropriate Television Licence, and University of Salford
Student Village accepts no responsibility or liability for the Resident’s failure to
obtain a Television License.
6. University of Salford Student Village will collect, use and store all of the Resident’s
details for the purposes of contacting him/her in case of eligibility for the Offer. Please
refer to Campus Living Villages’ Privacy Policy which can be found online at
www.campuslivingvillages.com.
7. The entitlements pursuant to the Offer are not transferable, refundable or
redeemable for cash and cannot be used or redeemed in conjunction with any other
offer or promotion offered by the Campus Living Villages or University of Salford
Student Village.
8. Campus Living Villages and University of Salford Student Village reserves the right
at any time during the Offer Period to:

a) change the terms and conditions of this Offer; and
b) withdraw the Offer.
9. Fraudulent information, behaviour or other improper use of the Offer or any
entitlements granted under this offer (in the reasonable opinion of the Campus Living
Villages) may result in (without limitation) the cancellation of the Resident’s
entitlement to the Offer or the Resident’s suspension from the University of Salford
Student Village and/or termination of the Resident’s License Agreement.
10. This Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other campaign promoted by
Campus Living Villages at the University of Salford Student Village.
11. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
12. Campus Living Villages and University of Salford Student Village reserves the right
to take appropriate legal action against the Resident if he or she violates the terms
and conditions of this Offer.
13. To the extent permitted by law, under no circumstances will the University of
Salford Student Village or Campus Living Villages be liable to the Resident for any
direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages
arising out of or in connection with the Resident’s participation in this Offer, even if
the Campus Living Villages has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
