Children’s Winter Reading Club
January 26-February 28, 2015
Winter is a great time to snuggle up with a good book – or many good books! Reading
is Cool is our winter reading program for children of all ages, and we have a reading
challenge for every age level. Pick up a reading log starting Monday, January 26. The
program will run through February 28. All participants who complete their reading
goals will receive a small prize.
Reading is Cool! – Frozen Sing-Along
Help us kick off the winter reading program by joining us for a Frozen Sing-Along. Fun
for the whole family! Limit 70.

Adult & Teen Winter Reading Challenge
Happy New Year!!! If reading more was one of your resolutions, we can help. Stop in
and pick up a winter reading log for a chance to win an Amazon Gift Card.

El Día del Niño/El Día del Libro Day of the Child/Day of the Book
Our multicultural celebration for this day
honoring children of all ages will feature
facepainting, a make-a-book craft,
lotería, bilingual stories, and games.
Cake, lemonade and a book giveaway
sponsored by our local Kiwanis Club will
round out the festivities.

Family Fiestas
Join us each Saturday in April for a
Family Fiesta celebrating the richness
of different cultures. We’ll share stories,
sample food and make simple crafts.

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a
group for kids who want to help us
brainstorm program ideas, give us
feedback about library books and
services and who want to volunteer at
Youth events like Día and our Summer
Reading Party. Snacks will be served.

we deconstruct a PC and some small
appliances, build a simple circuit from
a pizza box and take a PBS Design

Canvas Art
Create abstract art on canvas using
watercolors, glue and salt. This
technique creates unique patterns,
shine and texture. Also choose
from doily art which makes beautiful
imprints after being spray painted and
pulled off canvas.

Temporal
El objetivo de este programa es ayudar a preparar a
