Youth Update! Big news! We finally have room to place the last of our 150 envelopes on the Motown Moolah board! Our total from returned envelopes is $2396! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Motown Moolah fundraiser. What is Motown Moolah? The youth have numbered envelopes from $1 to $150. If you would like to donate some “moolah” to help them get to “Motown” (the National Youth Gathering in Detroit, MI this July), just take home an envelope and return it once you have saved the money amount listed. We are trying to raise $1300/person. The board is in the Connections Room waiting for a visit from you! HS Youth – Shack Time TODAY – Superbowl party w/ flag football at Christ Our Redeemer in Temple Terrace 12 pm – 2 pm. We will be leaving the church at 11:30 pm. Sat 2/7/15 - Kidz Klub Dinner - help mentor the youngsters in Kidz Klub while they serve dinner to their guests - please be there at 3 pm. Lectionary Bible Study With Pastor John January 14 – February 11 These Bible studies will be based on the readings and sermon for the coming Sunday, Classes will be on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm in Grace Chapel. Bring your Bible and a desire to dig into the Word. “Teal Bags” Sunday, February 8th, we will be handing out “teal bags” after each service to collect food for the Homeless Women’s Veterans. Some suggestions are: Bread, eggs, cereal, rice, beans, potatoes, pastas and soups, etc…. . “Teal Bags” will be collected on Sunday, February 22nd. The Homeless committee will meet at 10:00 rd am on Monday, February 23 to box up the food and take it to the Women’s Veteran’s Food Pantry. Presents……… “GETTYSBURG, 1863 IN STORY and SONG” Tuesday, February 10th, 7:00 p.m. GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH at CARROLLWOOD This program presents songs and stories of Gettysburg and the Civil War. The stories are based on first-hand accounts by children who witnessed the battle and even lent a helping hand. The concert is free and open to the public. PRIME TIME EVENT – KEKE’S BREAKFAST CAFÉ Tuesday, Feb.17th, 9 a.m. 5th ANNUALSHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE BREAKFAST In place of our usual monthly lunch on Wednesday, we will be doing breakfast on Tuesday so that folks can attend Ash Wednesday’s noon service. It also gives us an opportunity to observe Shrove Tuesday, traditionally the day for one last feast before starting our Lenten preparations. This is called Pancake Day or Fastnacht (donut) Day. Prime Time will be “feasting” with breakfast at Keke’s, promptly at 9 a.m. Management will not set aside an area for us until we have all arrived. Anyone arriving late will be seated at whatever table is available. Keke’s is a relatively new breakfast and lunch eatery located at 13121 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, (within the space where CC’s Pizza was located-next to Bed, Bath & Beyondnorth on Dale Mabry from Grace). ANYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN US!
