Bible Reading Job 38: 1 - 7, 19 - 24
Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said: "Who is this that darkens my counsel with
words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer
me. "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked
off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its
footings set, or who laid its cornerstone - while the morning stars sang together and all the
angels shouted for joy? Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth? Tell me, if you
know all this. "What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside? Can you take
them to their places? Do you know the paths to their dwellings? Surely you know, for you were
already born! You have lived so many years! "Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen
the storehouses of the hail, which I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle? What is
the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed, or the place where the east winds are scattered
over the earth?
Prayer:
Loving God, you show us in Christ what it means to be fully human, to share people's lives, be
welcomed into their homes and enjoy their company. Forgive us when we are tempted to ignore the
needs of others or to deny our own. Help us to realise how it is only by recognising our common
humanity that we can begin to discern your divine image, and to share in your work of salvation for
all. Amen

Westminster Theological Centre (WTC) Hub Director
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead and grow one of Westminster Theological
Centre’s London Hubs, based at All Saints’ Woodford Wells, a large New Wine resource
church. With current responsibility for approximately 30 students the Hub Director will
facilitate and grow a learning and worshipping community providing an environment and
foundation for students to succeed in their studies.
The successful candidate will be based at and employed by All Saints’ Woodford Wells,
where the WTC Hub is based. This is a part-time, permanent post attracting an annual
salary of circa £10,000. Equating to 2 days per week flexibility is required for working
hours, with an essential requirement for working during academic term time and in
particular on Tuesday evenings between 4 and 10pm. Occasional Saturday and Sunday
availability is also required. Would perhaps suit someone returning to work after a career
break, or early retired. Ability to network, market the course well and attract new students
is essential.
To request more information please email [email protected]. To apply
please email an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae together with a covering letter explaining why
you feel you are suitable for this post. Interviews will be held at All Saints’ Woodford Wells
on 13th March 2015.
The Week If you want to put an item in The Week—please get it to the church office NO LATER than Midday Thursday each week.
