Meet Christina Forth-Matthews 2015 ADDC Treasurer What makes a Regional Director? Is it motivation, leadership abilities, or a desire to move forward? Christina Forth-Matthews, Region VII Director embodies all of these characteristics. A member of the Edmonton Club for 10 years, Christina joined Desk and Derrick for the opportunity to learn about the energy industry. As part of the ADDC Board of Directors, Christina has great hopes for the future of the Association, and she thinks we headed in the right direction. One of her goals is to revitalize members and the organization. By adapting to change, she believes we are working on that this year. Education and field trips are some of Christina’s favorite parts of ADDC, and attending convention is no exception. The chance to visit new and interesting places is also one of the benefits she has enjoyed. Supported by members like Marilyn Carter and Dorothy Harris, these educational opportunities helped convince Christina make the decision to take the next step and become a regional Director. As Dorothy Harris told her, “What have you got to lose?” Not only did she have nothing to lose, but once she decided to run, Christina received support from not on her club, the Edmonton club, but from all of Region VII. Christina resides in Leduc, AB with her husband and German Sheppard Zoey. Together they have four children: Cody, Dana, Jordan and Amanda. She is the President and CEO of AOG International, and is a member of Alberta Women Entrepreneurs and WEConnect Canada. She would one day like to travel to Italy.
