Russia moving to Developed Market
Effective June 28th, 2014, the VMware Solution Provider Program will move partners of the Russian Federation to Developed status
programmatically (revenue, training and certification requirements). For incentives and discounting Russia will remain at Developing
Status.
This change gives Russia the opportunity for growth, to become more competitive and enjoy the different benefits we offer within our
program.
The following questions and answers outline the programmatic changes: what changes are being implemented, timelines for launch
and communication.

Q: What are the changes Solution Providers in Russian Federation will see when moving to Developed Status?

Q: When is this status change taking effect?
A: This country classification change takes effect on June 28th, 2014.
Q : When do partners need to meet the program requirements applicable for Developed Markets?

A : After June 28th, partners will be measured against the Developed Markets requirements on their renewal date. Partners with a
renewal between now and June 28th, will be measured against the Developing Markets program requirements.
Q: What happens if a partner does not meet requirements on their program renewal date?
A: If partners are not meeting the Developed Markets program requirements on their renewal date (after June 28 th) they will be relevelled to the appropriate level.
Example 1: Partner A has a renewal date of July 15 th 2014 On their renewal date they will be measured against the Developed
Markets program requirements. If they do not meet those requirements on July 15 th 2014, they will be re-levelled to the appropriate
level.
Example 2: Partner B has a renewal date of June 26 th 2014. On their renewal date they will be measured against the Developing
Markets program requirements. If they do not meet those requirements on June 26 th 2014 they will be re-levelled to the appropriate
level. On subsequent renewal dates they will be measured against Developed Markets program requirements (ie on June 26 th
2015). To progress to a higher program level after June 28 th 2014, they will have to meet the Developed Markets program
requirements of the higher tier
Q: Who does this change affect?
A: This change will only affect Solution Provider partners (Enrolled, Professional, Enterprise and Premier) in Russian Federation. All
other types of partners will not be affected. All partners in CIS countries (other than Russian Federation) will not be affected.
Q: Will this have an impact in my incentives / entitlement benefits?
A: No, this will not affect any of the incentives / entitlement benefits. The program changes only affect the Solution Provider program
requirements.
