Access members receive a starter bundle which includes enough licenses for one development team plus a 2-instance pack of product support. Elite members receive enough licenses for multiple development teams plus unlimited Basic product support (M-F 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time). Super User NFR licenses are managed and downloaded through a My VMware account. NFR Software for TAP Members TAP members have access to a limited number of NFR licenses for certain VMware products. The current list of NFR licenses provided to TAP members is shown in the NFR Software table. All NFR licenses are assigned to the Company’s Technical Contact. Technical Contact is designated on the TAP application. Requesting and Receiving NFR Licenses Each TAP partner has to remit the membership fees and is then authorized in Partner Central to receive NFR licenses. Once the TAP membership fee has been received by VMware, the account authorized. On authorization, the NFR keys are automatically sent to the ’s Technical Contact. Your Company’s Technical Contact will receive an email containing the license keys and the information about how to login to My VMware and manage the licenses from there. The email will originate from “VMware Customer Service, [email protected]” or “VMware Customer Service, [email protected]”. So please ensure that your email system is not blocking messages from these sources. My VMware My VMware simplifies and streamlines your interactions with VMware and provides an account-based view of license keys, support requests, contracts, and other information. You can also view and access your downloads and evaluations. Through My VMware, you have increased flexibility. You can save time with self-service features and guided workflow, and delegate taskbased roles with granular permissions. My VMware is accessible from the top navigation bar of VMware’s Web site. To log in to My VMware go to: https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/login. If you have any questions about the process, please contact My VMware Team at [email protected]. Using NFR Licensed Software All software licenses delivered under the VMware TAP Program are considered not for resale (NFR) and are intended for members to use in a lab or testing and development environment or any other pre-sales situation only, and not for any production environment. Acceptable uses of software licenses include testing and supporting applications for the VMware platform, product demos for potential customers in a demo or training facility, and answering support questions for product(s) running VMware software. Unacceptable use of software licenses include running any other applications on the VMware platform other than the application a member is trying to integrate or support, running VMware software in any production environment: data center, accounting department, sales department, etcetera. NFR License Expiration and Renewal NFR license keys are perpetual and valid as long as the partner is a TAP member in good standing. NFR support expires on the member’s annual TAP renewal date. Information to renew the membership is sent to the TAP Primary Contact beginning 90 days before renewal. Upon renewal the SnS or subscription support provided with the keys is extended to the next renewal date. If you have any NFR related questions, contact [email protected]. For more information, see “VMware Basic Support and Subscription (SnS) Service” in the Support section of the TAP Program Guide. NFR Software Subscription NFR licenses for TAP Access members include Subscription and two incidents of technical support. Subscription services consist of updates of any Major Releases, Minor Releases and Maintenance Releases, if any, to the Software as well as corresponding documentation during the length of your TAP membership. NFR Licenses for New VMware Products New VMware products may be selected for NFR licensing. VMware sends an NFR license/s for the new product/s to only those TAP partners who are in good standing. If TAP membership renewal fees have not been paid, TAP partners will not receive the new product/s NFR license/s. The NFR license/s are sent to the Super User designated in My VMware to manage the Company licenses. The NFR software provided to TAP partners currently is listed in the TAP NFR Software table. The licenses are provided to new TAP Program members after all of the appropriate documents have been accepted and the fees have been paid. Updates and upgrades as well as renewal of support are provided as needed. All communication related to licenses is sent to the appropriate contacts provided at the time of enrollment.
