About Bring a Friend Week at the Irvine School of Music…. Bring a Friend week gives ISM students a chance to share their love of making music with a friend. Students are proud to show what they have accomplished in their music lessons, to prepare a selection to play for the friend, and to show off what they have accomplished at home practicing. Playing for a friend and displaying how they are learning music can help to reinforce their commitment to lessons. Plus it’s fun! ISM students may invite one friend per program to their lesson during Bring a Friend Week. The friend must be close in age to the student and may not be another student currently enrolled in lessons at ISM. Participating ISM students and Friend will each receive prizes including tote bags for carrying sheet music, small treats, and balloons, and be entered into a rafGle to win a HUGE Polar bear and other prizes! Parents of ISM students -‐ We ask that you remain at ISM during your child’s lesson if they are participating in Bring a Friend Week. Parents group class students: in the event we have more friends coming than we can accommodate, we will schedule some students in subsequent week’s lesson. For this reason, please do your best to ensure invites are received at the front desk the week before Bring a Friend Week so we can plan accordingly. Can’t make Bring a Friend 2/2-‐2/8?
