AUGUST 2014 The International School of Monaco ISM NOTICES RECEPTION KISS N FLY DROP OFF PRIMARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL Early Years and Primary: Kiss ‘n Fly operates on the Avenue de la Quarantaine side of the school. To increase the security and improve the welcoming of our students and parents, we will re-open the Reception Desk for the Primary and Middle School. This is best accessed by Avenue de la Quarantaine. As from September 1st, all Primary and Middle School students should only use this access. INSTRUMENTAL AND SINGING LESSONS You should have all now received a copy of the instrumental lessons sign-up form sent by e-mail. Please ensure this is returned to ISM by the end of Friday 5th September to allow timetabling to take place to ensure lessons commence by the third or fourth week of term. You can return the form either by handing it to Reception or return it by email. If you do not wish to park your car, your child(ren) will be helped out of your vehicle by our assistants on Avenue de la Quarantaine. If you wish to park or leave your car unattended for any time, you must not use the Kiss ‘n Fly. If you park your car, you may escort your children into the school building using the second floor Early Years entrance or the third floor Primary entrance. Middle School students can be dropped off at Avenue de la Quarantaine with direct access to their Unit using the third floor Primary school entrance. Morning lessons begin at 8h20 promptly. Students may be collected from Avenue de la Quarantaine or from the Quai Antoine 1er at 16h00 (Wednesdays at 13h00). MOBILE TELEPHONE POLICY Early Years: Students are not allowed to bring a mobile telephone to school. Primary: Classes 3 and 4: Students are not allowed to bring a mobile telephone to school. Classes 5 and 6: All mobile telephones must be handed to the class teacher, turned off, at the beginning of the school day and collected at the end of the school day. Middle: All mobile telephones must be handed to the Homeroom Teacher at the beginning of the school day and collected at 16h00 when school finishes. Secondary: Mobile telephones are allowed in school, but must be turned off and be out of sight during class time, in the library, cafeteria, and the Middle School building. Please note that ISM declines all responsibility in lost or damaged mobile phones. E-MAIL COMMUNICATIONS / WEBSITE CHANGE OF ADDRESS / PHONE NUMBER / E-MAIL Please note that we will e-mail important communications and place newsletters and other announcements on the school website. A contact e-mail address for each student’s family is mandatory. All parents are asked to ensure that the school has their up-to-date contact information; if you have recently moved or are moving shortly, please inform the school in writing or by e-mail of any changes on [email protected].
