organizing the program of Professional Training in ISM CPSM® Study with the following
schedule:
Location:
Room 140, Center for Purchasing and Supply Management, IVE (Kwai
Chung), 20 Hing Shing Road, Kwai Chung, Hong Kong
Time:
6 days Classroom Sessions (2 days for each module)
Full day on 8th and 22nd June, 2014 for Module 2
Full day on 14th and 21st September, 2014 for Module 3
Full day on 14th and 15th March, 2015 for Module 1 (Venue to be confirmed)
Each day session of 8.5 hours, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, consists of 7.5-hour instructor led
learning and 1-hour lunch break, and in day 2 plus an extra 0.5-hour paper examination.
Language: Cantonese and English
Coaches:
Mr. K. K. Poon, CPSM® , C.P.M., MBA, Ex-President of ISMHK, over 30-year
experience in purchasing and supply management field, trained ISM CPSM®
instructor, appointed subject specialist in supply management in HK and China.
Mr. K. M. Wong, CPSM® , C.P.M., MBA, Vice President of ISM-PRD, Deputy
General Manager of Gold Knoll Ltd., Suntory Group of Companies, a supply
management professional with 18-year experience acquired through the current
post and some more gained from years in previous management positions.
OR other Coaches holding ISM CPSM® /C.P.M qualification. and being well
qualified practitioners with at least 10-year supply management experience.

Participants: All supply management executives desiring to improve supply management
performance. Participants have to possess the CPSM® study resources from ISM
when attending the classroom sessions.
Group size:
4 to 20 Maximum
Admission:
(1) Holder of post-secondary Certificate or Diploma plus minimum 2-year
relevant working experience in logistics, purchasing and supply discipline;
(2) Holder of University Degree in business study or equivalent; or
(3) Holder of ISM CPSM® /C.P.M. qualification seeking Continuous Education
Hours (CEH) towards re-certification of ISM CPSM® /C.P.M. qualification
Assessment: A paper examination in multiple-choice format (20 questions in 30 minutes) will
be conducted after completion of the day 2 program for each module. Upon
achieving the pass marks of 50% and attaining attendance rate of 75% of each
module, a Completion Certificate will be awarded, and for participants paying
100% Program Fee a free extension of 6-month ISM-PRD Membership will be
added in 1-off upon paying next annual membership dues and presenting the
Completion Certificate (i.e., 33% discount for 18-month membership).

What knowledge does the CPSM® Exam test?
There are three (3) CPSM® Examinations. Below is a break-down of the exam by sections,
with the number of questions and time allowed:
Exam 1: Foundation of Supply Management: Cost & Finance, Contracting and Negotiation,
International, Social Responsibility, Sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management (165
questions, 150 scored, 2 hours and 45 minutes).
Exam 2: Effective Supply Management Performance: Forecasting, Logistics, Materials and
Inventory Management, Organization/Department Assessment, Planning, Project Management,
Product Development, and Quality (165 questions, 150 scored, 2 hours and 45 minutes).
Exam 3: Leadership in Supply Management: Leadership, Risk and Compliance, and
Strategic Sourcing (180 questions, 165 scored, 3 hours).
The study content for each module/exam is self-contained. There is no sequence dependence
among the three different modules.

Notes:
1. ISM-PRD reserves the right to accept or reject any application and cancel this program.
2. Attendance Certificate will be given to participants who attended no less than 75% of each
module.
3. In addition to passing the 3 CPSM® Exams, CPSM® certification requires 3 years of fulltime supply management experience (non-clerical, non-support) with a regionally accredited
bachelor’s degree OR 5 years of full-time supply management experience (non-clerical, nonsupport) without a degree.
4. ISM-PRD is operated by Institute for Supply Management Hong Kong Limited (ISMHK).
5. Typhoon/Black Rainstorm Arrangements - Class will be cancelled if :(a) typhoon signal no.8 or above or black rain signal remains hoisted, or
(b) the HK Observatory announces typhoon no. 8 or black rain signal will be hoisted
at/after 6:00am on the program day.
Participants will be notified afterwards when the class will be made up.
6. No refund is allowed after payment if the program is launched as planned. In case of
cessation of course or rescheduling of program day due to the reasons other than
uncontrollable situations (e.g., typhoon or black rainstorm), and upon request of particular
participant, ISMHK will refund within one month to the participant on a pro-rata basis the
tuition fee paid for the incomplete portion.
